he's being backed

they've signed some good players already

can't take too much from pre season games

that said it's a good result for Arsenal.

Of course Chelsea will not be so good now. They have lost their financially doped advantage.

Laughably their supporters thought all their 21st Century success was earned on a level playing field.

Don’t shoot your load too early boys

Let’s just focus on ourselves.

Chelsea will now be run as a business rather than a very rich man's play thing.

I've always believed that any Chelsea fan who claimed their success would of happened with or without Roman was on the wind up but if any do genuinely believe that they are in for a rude awakening.

They have been running as a business for the last couple of years and complied with FFP. The new owner has promised £200m for transfers.

A few of you are deluding yourselves if you think they will not continue to spend.

I am not of the opinion they won't spend....Specially as Tuchel sent out a rallying cry for more quality...

But they did look dysfunctional and that is obviously manifesting itself on the pitch and in their results.

There is no smoke without fire..
The question is will Chelsea be in the CL places next year if they don't manage to get the quality Tuchel is asking for?

Anyone who thinksChelsea are going to be as successful as they were when they were financially doped under Abramovich is an idiot. But then Luka falls right into that category.

I seriously think that would be bad for the PL. I have enjoyed his tactical mastery and also his after game interviews...Shame, that Chelsea were built on fake foundations

Chelsea will no doubt spend but they have lost kep players and have not filled the positions yet, with 2 weeks to go.

It's hard enough bedding in players but if you are replacing quality and have little time to do so, and after ending the season really poorly, a slow start and suddenly the pressure is on

posted on 24/7/22

I wouldn’t read much into this result.

It’s just a friendly and also we’ve been beating Chelsea like a government mule for years now, irrespective of manager or personnel. So us beating them yet again doesn’t mean they can’t win something next season.

Friendlies are written off as irrelevant too easily by some people.

Of course they will never be as important as proper competitive games but nobody wants to get thrashed by a rival and it hardly breeds confidence this close to the start of a new season.

I wrote friendlies off forever after the summer we were prime Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona during pre-season under Juande Ramos only to be bottom of the league at the start of the season after two draws and six defeats.

Yeah true. Things do feel very off at Chelsea at the moment and Tuchel has come across as quite on edge during his press conferences. The fact that they might now be missing out on Kounde as well is only going to sour the mood further. Of the top teams I think they have the hardest start to the season, so things could get interesting there. Shades of Mourinho 15/16.

They had Roman then though...No more extra Lives left for them I think
