Gives him a couple of months to work on his hairstyles and ticktocks
Well, that's unfortunate. I can only imagine that he'll be wanting a pay rise to compensate for the boredom of being injured. That's how it works in Pogba world, right?
I'm sure he'll be back just in time to be ready for the WC.
I heard he over-exerted his short back and sides

Same. Was gutted when he left and at the time even said I think it was one of Fergie's biggest mistakes. Was buzzing to bring him back. A fantastic player to watch at times and tons of talent, it's a real shame it went the way it did.
A shame he has got what looks to be relatively serious injury.
I am glad he has left though, the cons outweighed the pros. Was an inconsistent performer, was on a big wage, he/his agents brought a lot of baggage off the field and he usually picked up an injury which kept him out for a couple of months each season.
Not our problem anymore and we are better for it.

I don't even primarily blame him for his failure at United. We signed him, invested a massive chunk of resources in him, without bothering to think about what it would mean to harness that talent. Of course he would be disillusioned. We failed him. But he could have shown more character, and you don't walk out on us on a free, twice, without leaving a bitter taste in the mouth.
More time for him to prance About in LA doing feck all then

United and Pogba both failed each other in certain aspects but yes a lot of what happened off the field makes him less likeable.
I don't think you can even say we failed him. We signed Bruno Fernandes and he played in the exact same team, ran his ballacks off and won player of the year twice on the trot.
And how many other players post Ferguson have we bought that have done well?
We all know Pogba could have probably done more himself but it's obvious the state of this club the past decade isn't somewhere for players to excel. Constant manager chances and no direction or plan of how to play will mess up most players, especially ones who are quite specialised in their role and don't have players that compliment your talents.
You hate him, we get it.
People defending pogba again the man who’s put less effort than in the kit man in the last 5 years.
Also constant manager changes? he had 2 full time managers and an interim in the 6 years he was at the club.
Where do people get this nonsense?

It isn't nonsense, is it. Its a pretty well balanced comment that acknowledges his failure here is both partly down do him not applying himself and partly down to the club operating in such a haphazard way.
If you want to be a hysterical drama queen though, do carry on
I think 3 managers in 6 seasons who all have completely different styles is quite a lot tbf. Like I said, most players we've bought post Ferguson have failed, not just Pogba.
3 managers in 6 seasons is less than a lot of major clubs. Could the club have done more to help Pogba?probably. The simple fact is he turned up when he felt like it and acted like an arrogant pr1 ck for most of his time at the club. Even in that silly documentary that came out where he claimed a pay rise for doing feck all was insulting.
I’m delighted he’s out of the club and couldn’t care less about what he does going forward.

Bruno was a player who suited the formation we played and came in as an upgrade on the options we had in the number 10 position. Stick him in a team with a different formation or responsibilities that don't sit quite so well with his attributes (e.g. the Portuguese national side) and he won't look quite as good.
Pogba is a player who we've known since before he left Juventus is best in a three man midfield with more creative freedom / less defensive responsibility. In a double pivot he rarely looks as good, although it has sometimes worked for France - in the slower pace of international football, playing next to Kanté. For United he spent years playing in a double pivot and we never bothered acquiring an elite DM to unleash him. Perhaps he would have underwhelmed anyway, but from my point of view we didn't even try to get the best out of him. Setting aside the emotions around how we feel about the player, it's a ridiculous waste of resources. If you're going to break records to acquire and remunerate Pogba, a player with a rare but very specific skill set, it's very basic financial diligence to set up the team in a way that gets value from him.
"3 managers in 6 seasons is less than a lot of major clubs"
No it isn't. You really want to argue that the club haven't been poorly run during Pogba's time at the club?
‘Looks good in a 3 man midfield with less defensive responsibility’ is media spin for lazy. No way a pep or a Koop sign a player like that.

Not what I said at all is it I’m just saying that manager turnover is a poor defence of pogba.
Of course it isn't, it's one factor of many that contributed to Pogba not living up to expectation.
Having 3 managers who all have completely different syles of play over the space of 6 seasons, none of which ever really tried to play Pogba in a 3 man midfield was going to help matters.
It wouldn't matter if you played Pogba in a 3 man midfield or an 8 man one. He'd still want to take too much time on the ball and still be targeted by a pressing opponent, knowing that he'd give them the rewards.
Serie A is played at a much slower pace. He'll look good there. But it won't be due to the system suiting him, it will be due to the league and the pace the game is played at suiting him.
