Today I’d just like to see us play well and look sharp for the new season.

Personally I expect us to be 2nd again. Even if Nunez proves to be a great signing, it’s unlikely he’ll hit Mane levels in his first season. So we’re probably a little weaker than last year unless Carvalho makes a first team impact rather than replacing Minamino in the squad.

City have improved imo; Phillips for (2022 version of) Fernandinho is an improvement. Haaland and Alvarez for Sterling and Jesus - if Haaland performs as most expect him to that’s an improvement as well I’d say. Cucurella for Zinchenko would be an modest upgrade as well imo.

Never say never because this team is capable of winning any game they play but head says City again.

CL we should get to sharp end of the competition, from that point it’s down to form, injuries (or lack of) and a bit of luck.

I don't see why not though Naby. It's pretty common for signings at City to take a year to adapt. I think Salah is better than Haaland and we have less players going to the world cup.

I think my (relative) lack of confidence is down to thinking Haaland will probably be a massive and pretty instant hit. I think he’s a hell of a player to add to the team.

He takes time to settle or continues to have injury problems then my confidence levels shoot up.

Bookies don't agree with me tbf which is not a great sign.

I reckon he starts with Firmino (who has looked pretty sharp preseason).

If fit I would go with Nunez

Saying that Bobby is always a good option.

If we don't know City don't either I guess.
