Criminal in a season in which you have had a rebuild to not invest a penny other than money received.
I thought it was a decent, open interview. Realism of where we are and what we can afford. Could be some smoke screen as well, if we could afford CDK on top of those already, then suggests there is more funds - quite a bit - for more additions if deemed needed.

After hearing Radz latest remarks and the way our search for a new striker has dragged on I think that at this stage of the transfer window I would be happy if we got Che Adams.
Adams would at least be an upgrade on Roberts and although he is probably not everyone's preferred choice he at least is available, not too expensive and an experienced Premier league number 9 that I do think will improve our squad.
I am disappointed though, to say the least that we didn't or haven't tried harder to get a better centre forward than CA who seemed to go off the boil at the back end of last season at Southampton and dropped down their pecking order. We just have to hope if Adams does sign for Leeds he can rejuvenate and rediscover his best form with us.
If we don't sign a striker this window then he's not fit for purpose. It was criminal going into last season knowing Bamford was carrying an issue. Took to long chasing CDK which was ironic given we had Raph doing EXACTLY the same thing to Chelsea and Barca ......
We put a bid in for CDK, but did we keep pursuing it?
Che Adams…doesn’t excite me, I prefer Joffy!
How can you sell a player not knowing if you’re getting paid? Either utterly stupid or it’s a lie.
Should have been sold to Chelsea or stayed at the club if they are really worried they won’t get the money.
More spin if you ask me.
Anything but a proven striker isn’t good enough. Che Adams is a decent player, but doesn’t score many. So we might as well play Rodrigo up front if Bamford is injured.
Thanks for sharing.
Starts off by saying we're better off with 6 new players rather than 2 players.
Talks about needing a bigger squad, yet Orta talked about small squad and when you take into account that along with Philips and Raphinha, Roberts, Cresswell, Shackelton and Davis left, then squad is really not become bigger at all.
Then says he wants to summarise on these three campaigns in the Prem League, yet we haven't even started our third yet, he is so measly with what he says.
Says we're one of top clubs in terms of investment in players - 260m....was asked about if we've spent well enough, he didn't really answer. then circled back to it, just says no club that makes every purchase prefect and we need to give it 3/5 years before we can judge, really dodges the issue of our low hit rate..
Talks about a very good youth academy for talent....yet we got relegated.
He is proud that we're a club that players come to for 2/3 years before going to a big club......
"For me it was more important to buy 6 players, than keep Raphinha....I rather don't sell him, but I needed to buy those 6 players"
Re CDK, he was watching our documentary and was 50/50 which makes me really proud....
Surely we do more than just ask prospects to watch an Amazon documentary about our time in Championship with a manager that the club sacked.
What he says about Chelsea deal is completely at odds with Raphinha who has said he only ever wanted Barcelona and board understood that and supported him.
Says he's happy with the squad.
Outside of what's already been said on this thread,
how the living eff can the club go into this season still
not addressing LB & striker needs?
Incredible.
Is the club suffering more short-sighted positive glee
over Bamford not being crocked yet? Because, like the
old chestnut, death and taxes, we know Paddy will be
injured sooner rather than later.
Is the club being blinded by Rodrigo's good outing
against Cagliari? And thinking maybe he'll be much
better in Marsch's system, so no need for a newbie?
I love Joffy, and I think he'll come up massive this
season. But, we need an additional, quality striker.
Are the club being short-sighted at LB because the
training room lads have stated that Firpo is ahead of
schedule? Which maybe. But he still can't defend.
Are they content shoving a plaster over LB in the
form of Struijk (who I think is a great talent at CB)?
Is Ayling's fitness update blinding them too?
The CDK saga was a farce. Orta special that one.
Pursue someone who doesn't want to join us until
we ran out of time. Idiocy.
I hope all of this speculation is bollox. And a smoke
screen for the club bringing in an LB & striker under
the noses of other clubs. If it isn't, and the club thinks
we're fine and dandy as we are, then buckle up
everyone.
“The target I set is between 10th to 14th position. If we’re lucky, we are close to 10th or more. If we aren’t lucky, we are 15th. But I think we are in that range. I don’t want to have any more heart-attack risk.”
Yet Marsch says we have no goals for this season except to do better than last season.
But is there any chance in his mind of a relegation battle? “I don’t have any doubt that we’ll avoid a situation similar to last season,” he says. “It’s impossible.”
I tend to think the CDK saga was a smokescreen to give the impression that Radz was serious about splashing a large amount of dosh on a top striker, when it was pretty obvious CDK would never consider us and had his heart set on a move to AC Milan but Radz can spin it and say Leeds were thwarted blar blar blar when the reality is he only intends to spend another £10 million maximum on a Striker after all the signings so far which have almost all been payed for by the Raphina and KP money.
We will end up with iether an unknown European forward, no one or at best a loan with a view to signing at the end of the season like Kalimuendo at PSG.
I now think even Che Adams will be out of Radz price range as Cornet clearly demonstrated at half the price to CDK was inexplicably ignored which looks like it was because of the fee because why else wouldn't Leeds have made an effort to sign a young exciting talent living fairly close to Leeds and with Premier league experience and a very good sell on at a big profit potential...
Something smells very fishy.

It really doesnt make sense what he says.
Says he didnt want to sell our best player but did so because it was more important to get 6 players in and now its a bigger squad, except at least 5 players have left, especially when you consider that Darko is not meant to be a first team player at this point.
With revenues of 200+ mill you have to ask where is all the money going.
I really do hope I'm wrong but sadly or disappointingly it is starting to look like Radz is being a greedy little piggie and pocketting a whacking big wad for himself but he's the majority owner and that's his perogative I suppose.
Its a very risky strategy to try and pull the wool over your club's supporters eyes and seemingly yet again try and do things on the cheap, especially after last seasons flirt with relegation.
I reckon the only way significant funds will be splashed would be if we sold Harrison so let's hope this young Sonny Perkins can be a revelation and step up to be one of our first team strikers like Joffy has.

Yes I've seen them Faith, Radz emailed them to me..
Obviously I haven't seen them and I did say that I hope I'm wrong but I'm reflecting on what has transpired this summer and our failure so far to sign a new first team centre forward, fans have been crying out for.
My gut feeling is as Jonty referred to with the riches of tv money that swells the coffers of every premier league club is that Radz is not prepared to spend more than about £10 million net after the sales and purchases so far this transfer window.
So after wages and other outgoings etc there must be a healthy amount of revenue that could be used for one or two more quality signings, and let's hope they still happen, but they haven't which leads myself and others to wonder where the tv money is going and invariably it tends to end up in the majority owners bank account which as I previously said is their perogative.
If my gut feeling turns out to be unfounded and without substance then I will gladly retract my suspicions and eat a large dollup of humble pie but until such time my opinion stands and until proved otherwise I think my opinion is warranted.

I think this says it all really. As I (and others have said) the owners are primarily at fault.
They've sold probably our best 2 players, let other players go and are spinning lies they have strengthened the squad.
Still no quality striker, still no left back. This is criminal.
Radz only has his heart shin deep in leeds. When the club is sold to owners with greater desire and hunger, thats when we can actually get excited.
I still can't believe we let a world class coach go.

To me the accounts show quite clearly where the money is going.
Mostly on wages & transfer fees.
With the added bonus of AR writing off a £20m loan owed to himself from financing the cost of hiring Bielsa and paying player wages during the Championship.
