I'm running one of these with friends and family too, although not many fancied it. Talksport run one with a 45k prize pot with 3000 odd players in it. as you say, a large chunk fell in week 1.
Liv and Man C are the safe ones, especially at this early stage in the season. Wolves to beat Fulham or Villa to beat Everton could be clever ones. I'd go for either of those if not Man C or Liv. Id avoid the rest, think a lot of them will end up draws.

You'd have to go for Arsenal there.
Arsenal will beat Leicester
Keep a big team up your sleeve for a couple of weeks if you can.
Good luck and hope you win it.

Too early for spurs and arsenal to annually implode , that’s after xmas, so probably safe bets.
I’d go for Arsenal or West Ham.
Yeah West Ham we’re bad but that’s against City, few forest fans I know watched their game against Newcastle and said they got absolutely hammered, and looked like a team of players that have barely met. They have about 8 new signings in their first 11 and against a fired up West Ham looking for their first win, who are now days a pretty decent side, I would expect an away win.
Cheers all, good advice already Arsenal and Villa were the two I was thinking about, although it’s too early in the season yet to know if either opponents in those games are as shaky as they looked in the first game. City and Liverpool have Newcastle and United away in week 3 and I wouldn’t go on either that week though so there is the thought it might be better to get at least one of them in early and hopefully have a bit more time to see how the other teams are looking.
I know the gambler in me will want to go on Villa though!
Brentford will be prime Barca this fixture

Good shout as well, I watched that game and agree, they’ve got so many new players I can see it taking a while. If West Ham were at home, I’d go for them, think the city ground is going to be rocking for that one.
Don't ask me, I picked Liverpool first game.
I had Spurs initially but thought I'd play it safe.

The mate running mine has done it for a couple of seasons already, the numbers involved have doubled this time though and think he’s already regretting the additional admin!
Going to be a very healthy pot for the winner though. He said last season, it took around 8 fixtures on average for a winner and then it reset again.

Wouldn’t go on Villa, terrible second half of last season and getting slapped by Bournemouth on the opening day of this season. Them and Everton are both crap, Villa might win but it’s not nailed on, any result wouldn’t be a shock.
Pick Arsenal while they’ve got a home banker.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Didn’t see the Leicester game, were they that bad? They’re one of the hardest teams to predict week on week.

I tend to go against certain teams. Last season was Norwich and Watford mainly, especially away. Southampton look a good choice this, i had Spurs last week

Also, this early on the season, it is probably best to go with the best teams first. While Arsenal look a good shout for week 2, I will probably go "safe" with Man City. Staying in at the moment is better than anything risky.

Spurs at home to Saints was the banker of the weekend. Spurs finished last season like a train, scoring for fun, Southampton were awful second half of last season and are arguably the worst team outside the promoted teams - and promoted teams often pull a shock on opening day meaning Saints were the likeliest team to be handed a defeat.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree fully with that. Thought it was an easy choice the first week.
So there’s 18 left in it. 6 have already chosen, all either City or Liverpool.
12:30 Saturday fixtures are notorious accy killers, so avoid big teams in them as well!
Hate to say it but has to be Chelsea
Tottenham never get anything there….awful form

I thought so too but talked myself into Liverpool as the first week can throw up strange results and thought Liverpool would hammer Fulham. Normally I take risks by leaving myself the big teams and I've done quite well, City beat me last season the week before the last. Think it was on the 13th week or something.
