Spending months to sign a player that doesn't even want to come, then panicking to sign random players picked out of a hat after an appalling first game.
How an earth can a club be run so badly, and keep making the same mistakes over and over again, and not only that, the ones making the mistakes keep their jobs.

Anyway, i'll see if either of these rumours actually happen before worrying too much.

I see most people making the manager blameless on this. Say what you want about the scouts and upper management but if a Klopp was in change, no such sh1tshow would ever happen. ETH has a big say on who is coming and he totally messed it up and his lack of experience at a high level really shows.

TBF I think plenty brought up Sesko's goal tally and the fact he seems to not have a very good first touch.
He's a very different transfer though isn't he in that he's still a teenager and someone who can hopefully develop under someone like EtH. He was also wanted by other clubs and looks like going to Leipzig.
I think a key issue with both Rabiot and Arnautovic is that irrelevant of their ability they both seem like idiots who could cause unrest at a club that are already crumbling mentally.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry, what I meant was, while valid concerns were being brought up about Sesko, the whole "We are so desperate, a banter club" business wasn't nearly as strong as it's been over the last, what, 40 hours.
I think the loss, plus a real malaise about the transfer window, has led to a bit of an over reaction.
I think if Rabiot had been signed a month ago, it would have been met with more logical thinking, still some scepticism, but not this "the sky is falling" that some posters are displaying.
In fairness, you don’t need the last 40 hours to correctly conclude we are a banter club.
Let's just sign young Ross Barkley and get on with building for the future.
I reckon United compare to pre Poch Tottenham ….I think Poch and ten Hag are alike also
I don’t mind admitting I wanted Poch gone after a few months as we were worse than we were under sherwood …..results were bad , football was boring and we weren’t going anywhere
Then we moved on some players who although good were lazy and after 6 months the change around was evident , with the pressing starting to show
Point is what’s all the panic ? I think your preseason gave some United fans false hope that things were different immediately but the prem is unforgiving
It will take time and patience ….if in 6 months you are still being outplayed by a Brighton then I’d say panic but the pressing will take a couple of months minimum , with that pressing will come fitness and some decent footy
Ten Hag reminds me of Poch and a bit of pep….he will succeed
Ji
But it wasn't concluded a month ago when it could have been. And had it been I'm pretty sure fans would have been pretty underwhelmed by his signing.
Also had it been done a month ago it would have implied we were still in the market for other midfielders with the FdJ saga still going. Whereas now it looks more like our alternative to FdJ.
I think most can see that talent wise Rabiot is better than what we have in midfield but that just shows you how bad our midfield is. But for me (and I assume others) it's more about his attitute that worries me.
It has been a very dissapointing transfer window so far.

Not sure that including them as preferred alternative targets reflects any better on the club or ETH actually

I don't get how two low cost players can be deemed shiiite signings 1) Before they've even signed and 2) Before they've kicked a ball for us.

I thought most of us were just getting behind ETH and his decisions?
I don't get how two low cost players can be deemed shiiite signings 1) Before they've even signed and 2) Before they've kicked a ball for us.
It's not the big signings any of us wanted... But it seems a bit daft to write them off imho, especially Rabiot.

I don't care about "Big" signings tbh
But there's enough body of evidence to back up these are 2 shiiite signings
Neither have ever shown top ability with any consistency and both have repeatedly shown their attitude leaves a lot to be desired
We all accept that we have a problem moving on players that aren't good enough and this affects our transfer budgets... Seems odd to add 2 more to confound the problem further going forward
Arnautovic... Fk me... That's a relegation threatened club in the January window style signing

Good luck responding to this fella. He does not work on opinions based on evidence. And when you are right, rather than put his hand up and say I have it wrong, he will accuse of being a ' I told you so merchant.'

Wake up and stop calling people daft every time their thinking is not same as yours.

You are creating your own reality here... Show me where I have called anyone daft.
I'm just trying to think of the various scenarios and variables at play here rather than just defaulting to "We're doooomed".

Ji’s a good poster. He just gets a wee bit too positive at times which is better than the dark Ji version which is Nohlman

It has been a shocking transfer window and I’m sure even the most positive supporter can admit that whether it’s ETH or the people above him, the whole thing has been a shambles, which looks even worse as we actually seemed to start well by getting Ten Hag in nice and early and had Ralf seemingly prepare some kind of dossier of what to do next.
