Was thinking along the same lines as Nookie - ie a shoot out. However, having seen the starting eleven, not so sure we can get there. On Saturday I thought Biggins and Andrews were among the poor performers. I'd have preferred to see Miller in place of Andrews. Also not confident with the middle of the back line, but have not seen much of Long so far. Still will hope for a narrow win 2-1 or on penalties after 1-1. Hope Agard gets another!

What ever it was McSheffrey was trying to achieve it failed. Just like a very poor pre season friendly. Yes some players got game time but that's about all. He's a lot to learn but doesn't seem to learn as quickly as he should. The nice guy personna hides a lot of faults I fear.

Having watched the low-lights, I'm depressed for the first time this season. OK, the clip is very short, but it did show we have a very porous defense, and not much in attack.

The trouble with a team of youth and experience is that the youth don't have the experience and the experienced don't have the youth. He's got a better squad of players this season but seems lost at moulding them into an effective team. No clear playing style or system. I'm thinking it was a mistake to appoint in house but we're saddled with it so hopefully it will get better.

The apologists have an inexhaustible supply of reasons why it's not working in the shape of the injured players. And I don't remember there ever being so many. I don't know enough about those who aren't playing to know whether they are right or not. I doubt whether Taylor will ever be the player he was, but who knows the potential of the newcomers or Close for that matter.

I have just seen the extended highlights which meant watching Lincoln waltzing through our defence. Williams and Biggins looked particularly ineffectual. Defenders that won’t tackle properly are liabilities and reminiscent of last season giving the impression that they weren’t trying.

This is very worrying and difficult to encourage the spirit of support amongst the fans.

Patience and optimism will quickly evaporate if they perform like this again.
