Maybe those 6 players are better than others in their positions, including yours, but you still won the titles because the rest of your team and the second 11 are all still top quality whereas there's arent.

Are you saying that Klopp has better players but still can't dominate the league?
If so, then why is he voted as Manager of the year?

I imagine it's because people take the whole season into account when they vote and not just the league.

The domestic trophies and reaching the CL final would have swayed people.

6 of the better players , worse squad overall.

I'm not saying I agree or disagree but it's not hard to understand....

Its what the players think. Probably some City players who would have voted for them too.

Maybe.
But for the team that won the PL to have fewer players than the team in second place doesn't make sense.

When it comes to Liverpool v City players the only one I disagreed with was Thiago over Rodri. Rodri was brilliant and scored some important goals aswel.

There is an argument for Laporte over Rudiger, Laporte had a very good season and also scored some important goals. Special mention for him playing injured at the end of the season to just see us over the line.

It was quite a while ago now wasn’t it?

I think part of it’s linked to how we play and the system being more important than the players, meaning some don’t particularly stand out individually despite performing at a really high level. Got a feeling you’ll see it with Jesus at Arsenal for example where he’s already looking a cut above a lot of their other players.

What was the pfa team, anyone got a link?

Or maybe the good Liverpool players carry the poorer ones to more of an extent? I don’t know.
I see every week how hard Chelsea’s good players play to cover up for the crap ones whether as city for example are class in every position.

To be fair I've met some liverpool fans who couldnt understand why Rodri was not in that team.

These prizes are pointless. Marcelo Bielsa was voted 3rd best manager in the world last season. Giggs once won player of the year. I don't take these things seriously anymore.

At least, Ronaldo was the standout player for United.
Son was another who should have been on that list.
I also prefer Reece James to TAA.

Or you could take the view that you had the POTY, the YPOTY and three players in the team of the year.

This

City is more about the sum of their parts than individual brilliance so I never expect the players to dominate the awards.Another thing about City is our players tend to play more than 2 positions (Jesus, Bernardo, Foden) and therefore its easier for liverpools players to then stake a claim for specific positions in the POTY team.

Thiago over Rodri was scandalous especially considering the number of games Thiago missed

Interesting point about Jesus. The kid is an amazing player and I was surprised arsenal fans felt he was too expensive considering his age, ability and the fact that he has been trained by one of the best managers ever.

If anything Arsenal got the better deal as they are not even in the CL. He will certainly look like a star in their team as City has a higher caliber of players than Arsenal especially technically.

Jesus will be one of the best players this season as his quality will shine in a team that has less technically gifted players as compared to City. Another way to look at Grealish and his struggles at City. He is simply not better than KDB, Foden, Bernardo even though his release clause was 100 million. Crazy hey.

But as a city fan we cant forget some one on one misses at crucial points in the season that have cost the team. The kind you just dont expect Haaland to make.

The club would have kept him if he wanted to stay. Amazing player
