Are you seeing them in Melbourne in March?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sure am!! Are you seeing them?
I met Gerard in Amsterdam during the Black Parade tour. Such a nice guy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, $190 a ticket 🙀 but been so long. They were supposed to be here for download festival a couple of years ago but Covid 😾
----------------------------------------------------------------------
nearly $200 for a chemical romance gig ?!?!?! wtf?!?!
I paid less than that for VIP tickets for Guns n Roses (granted that gig has been cancelled 3 times now)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sydney gig prices are always insanely high. God knows how much the Elton John ‘farewell’ tickets will be
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m going to see Metallica in New York end September
----------------------------------------------------------------------
many times will that be now red? I think Iv seem them about 9 times now, I dont think there will ever be a 'talica gig I pass up on.... regardless of how sloppy thet are live. Think we living on borrowed time with Hetfield now though sadly.
YOU WANT HEAVY??? METALLICA GIVES YOU HEAVY BABY !!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This will be concert 27 since 1988. Country number 13 including Ireland
Agree I think the next album will be their last
----------------------------------------------------------------------
impressive man.... I only really got into them properly when I turned about 19/20 (2002 roughly) so never really in their prime, man I woulda loved to have seen them in their prime.
If their next album is their last I fully expect it to be a throwback to their peak sound and style... surely ?
give the fans what they want afore you bow out please James
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That first on was on the justice tour in a venue that held 2000. I was 14
The only Irish concert I missed was in 86 when they played with cliff which was only a week or so before he died

Probably the same insane amount everywhere on this tour. Reg has made it abundantly clear, in many interviews, that yes, he is determined to fleece us all for tickets.
All proceeds are going towards his AIDS Foundation. Can’t complain.

Cant has had about 8 farewell tours anaw.

First proper album I bought with my pocket money saved was, ELO out of the blue... fantastic album cover too!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Considered OOTB but 17 tracks and there's a couple of meh on there so it was binned.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes some questionable fillers but still many of their biggest hits, Mr. Blue Sky etc.... But I think ELO's greatest album for me was their next one `Discovery" with at least half a dozen great songs... Horace Wimp, Last Train to London,, Confusion, Don't Bring me down,
Shine a little love and Midnight Blue.
I'll say it again

Huh, I knew a bird that had loads of them.
Oh, not gammy...?
Siamese Dreams - Smashing Pumpkins
Animals - Pink Floyd
Exit Stage Left - Rush
Under a Blood Red Sky - U2
Alchemy - Dire Straits
50 cent - Get Rich or Die Tryin’
Tupac - All Eyez
Well there's not a bad song from the first song in AC/DC's High Voltage to the last song in Back in Black, so that's a streak of six albums. Pretty decent. Although they did later go on to make a streak of three albums without a single good song, so that balances it out a bit.
Powerage the obvious highlight.
Other bands manage less impressive discographies, but Black Sabbath's Paranoid and Iron Maiden's Iron Maiden and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son don't have a bad track on them either.
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son even tells a nice story through the album.

The World Won't Listen - The Smiths
That is flawless.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Aye, flawless scheite
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Stick to Val Doonican
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I really cant stand the Smiths (mainly Morrissey tbf) absolutely hate their sound and style
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Quite, repetitive, minor key, miserable, political pash with English nationalism thrown in for good measure.

Are you seeing them in Melbourne in March?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sure am!! Are you seeing them?
I met Gerard in Amsterdam during the Black Parade tour. Such a nice guy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, $190 a ticket 🙀 but been so long. They were supposed to be here for download festival a couple of years ago but Covid 😾
----------------------------------------------------------------------
nearly $200 for a chemical romance gig ?!?!?! wtf?!?!
I paid less than that for VIP tickets for Guns n Roses (granted that gig has been cancelled 3 times now)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sydney gig prices are always insanely high. God knows how much the Elton John ‘farewell’ tickets will be
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m going to see Metallica in New York end September
----------------------------------------------------------------------
many times will that be now red? I think Iv seem them about 9 times now, I dont think there will ever be a 'talica gig I pass up on.... regardless of how sloppy thet are live. Think we living on borrowed time with Hetfield now though sadly.
YOU WANT HEAVY??? METALLICA GIVES YOU HEAVY BABY !!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This will be concert 27 since 1988. Country number 13 including Ireland
Agree I think the next album will be their last
----------------------------------------------------------------------
impressive man.... I only really got into them properly when I turned about 19/20 (2002 roughly) so never really in their prime, man I woulda loved to have seen them in their prime.
If their next album is their last I fully expect it to be a throwback to their peak sound and style... surely ?
give the fans what they want afore you bow out please James
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That first on was on the justice tour in a venue that held 2000. I was 14
The only Irish concert I missed was in 86 when they played with cliff which was only a week or so before he died
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yeah when I say peak i mean just before Cliff died.
to me they are the GOAT in terms of bands. they aint the most technical, not the heaviest, not the fastest but they are the greatest. they will be my goto band til I die.
Dont think I started going to see them live til about 2004 (donwnload festival in glasgow). Never seen them abroad but never missed them when they came to glasgow.

I paid 550 euro for 2 golden circle tickets for Bilbao last month
Will pay approximately $500 for 2 VIP tickets for New York

Probably the same insane amount everywhere on this tour. Reg has made it abundantly clear, in many interviews, that yes, he is determined to fleece us all for tickets.
All proceeds are going towards his AIDS Foundation. Can’t complain.
