Sonny, last years golden boot winner and Ballon D’or nominee?
That Sonny?
Didnt watch either match in full but he was no worse than Kane right?
If he's on a really poor run, same with any of our player, we should be able to rest them out for a game with a better squad now for them to come back firing in the next
you are crazy but not gonna slaughter you... Sonny will be fine.... getting the balance right in midfield will help all of our attackers.... they are too isolated because PEH sits too deep when we play with 3 CBs
if romero is out for a bit... we should play a 433 with and get on the front foot against teams we should beat... no reason to be so deep and invite pressure
Form is temporary, class is permanent. We should let Son play through this little hiatus, he will soon be scoring goals again👌👍
I dont think it will do him any harm.
That said, a goal can make all the difference and he wont score that if he's on the bench.
I would say the best approach is to start him, for now, but not be afraid to pull him for Richarlison with a reasonable amount of time left on the clock - 65th minute...so he gets that he is totally trusted but realises he still has to deliver
We had this exact same thing last season with fans calling for Son to be dropped... he then scored 12 goals in 10 league games to secure us top 4
It's ridiculously reactionary and won't even enter Conte's head
He's a streaky player. Looks like he can't play football for a few games then becomes one of the best forwards around. I'd persevere and let him find his form... (although this is why we bought Richarlison).
Would be very harsh to drop him after two games
Apparently he was racially abused at Chelsea when he went to take a corner, more to come
Yeh he`s always been streaky but we don`t know when he will hit form, I would still start him but sub him after 60 mins if he is still not at the races.

Billy.
I would start Richarlison or Perisic over him for one game. The lad needs a kick up the backside. He is what 29 years old? and played like a boy on Sunday. Constantly bullied off the ball. Something I cannot stand.
His performance was awful.
People talk about Kane and Son being world class but I have seen them after stinkers like on Sunday many times before against lesser opposition.
We need to stop thinking the sun shines out of their backsides until they consistently put in performances which warrant the use of the term World Class.
They are very good players on their day but never World Class.
Son is at his best when he has open spaces to play..Ask him to link up and play when pressed in confined spaces he generally tends to struggle.
The Chelsea game was a case in point and I lost count the number of times he tried to link up particularly in the 1st half and disposed or gave the ball away..
Not bothered about Son but do agree Richarlison should be given a chance if either Kane or Son are struggling.
The stick son is getting from fans after 2 games is an absolute embarrassment and a joke. Kane has arguably been worse, yes he scored last minute but was shocking all match and missed for him, a sitter.
No player should be immune from criticism. Both have stunk the place out with their performances but Son has been really bad.

Stupid remarks, both Kane and Son are on their day WC, if you don’t recognise that then you don’t know enough about football.
Both have won the top striker award in the PL, which is the toughest league in the World & both are on the list for B’allon de Or

I just think World Class gets banded about Spurs fans like confetti when it comes to Son and Kane.
Kane yes deserves it the label with some of his performances but other times like on Sunday he was abysmal. Hadn't he scored he would have got a rating of 3 out of 10. Nothing stuck to him and the one on one chance he fluffed was Sunday League at best. He ate grass after shooting.
When Son is one on one with a keeper you could say he is world class but there are other areas in his game which need work. He has hardly no strength and easily bullied off the ball. Sunday performance was not a one off. We have seen it before.
World class means you do it week in, week out. Well it used to, now the term has been dilluted and lost it's true meaning.
Both are still very very good players who are excellent on their day but I am tired of them losing the ball in some games and it ends up with us getting dominated by teams like Southampton, Brighton, Burnley, Wolves as well as the big 6 teams.
Nothing is stupid about my remarks. Both have below the standards we know they are capable and under performed badly.
If Kane and Son aren't considered world class then the list is very very small
I have no problem with that.
Poor performances do not diminish their standing in the football community as top class and World Class too.
However you are of course entitled to your opinion whether it is right or wrong🤔😵💫

What do we mean by “poor”? They were up against some very high quality defenders, and tactically Tuchel out did Conte for most of the match. Some times you have to hold your hands up and say individuals and the team were out played. But I don’t think that’s means they were poor, just bettered, and you can’t come out on top in every single game.
Dropping either of the players after two games is just madness. Ten games in and we’re still having issues then fine, but we r got to give them half a chance to start firing on all cylinders.
The benefit of this squad however seems to be that goals can come from all over the place - so there is less reliance on Son and Kane. I say let them ride it out; class is permanent, and it’ll click very quickly I imagine
I don't think Conte will drop either but there is no harm in doing so. We have plenty of games to go and with Son's pace he would be a good asset off the bench against tired legs with 30 mins to go. He would get the message that he has to do better.
When Son got going Chelsea simply fouled him.
And they man-marked him too.
The way to deal with that is for referees to card the offenses.
It will soon stop!
