I very much doubt it, Pep saved him from getting dogs abuse from the Toon fans because of his Almiron comments.

Not one of Walker's finest performances. Was Pep not watching the first half as City were run ragged down the right side? Was this a player or a tactical problem, or both???
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be fair you need two players when up against the Newcastle left winger. City obviously leave a lot of gaps in defence as they're used to teams sitting in against them. Interesting that City are starting all five of their midfielders. Injuries in midfield could be a problem for them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s a Liverpool problem to be honest. We still have Phillip’s on the bench and the quality is so good we can lose 2 and still outplay your Brexit midfield
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool don't need world class players in midfield to win games, just hard work. City's whole game is dependant on the midfield so no, that's not a Liverpool problem, it's potentially a City one. Will be interesting what happens with Silva.

You kept posting fake news "Penalty Trippier" being the last one - when the ball was out for a throw-in and hadn't been close to the box for a while..

Fak me that was because the scousers kept going on about that non penalty in the first half

The spice wore off for Walker so he could take part at some point in the second half.
Eddy poor, defenders first half poor, Rodri and Silva poor first half, at least Rodri and Silva woke up second half.
A point is decent, can't complain considering how shiite we played in the first half.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thought Ederson made some good saves, was quite critical of him back end of last year but thought he did ok. That said missed bits of first half as best mates 3 year old was facking on one after 2 fruit shoots
Really enjoyed that game. Ridiculously open due to the tactics pep used but made for a really entertaining watch.
Newcastle under Howe are a good team.
Should have put them away in the first 25 min, Foden should have squared it, as others have said but good to come back against a team that were committing cynical fouls and timewasting hugely. Yes, had Trippier been sent off it would have been harsh but the ball wasn't in the same postcode when he connected with KDB's knee and his play acting wasn't pretty on the touchline.

Thought Foden wasn’t good. The rest were ok, think it was just early days trying a new tactic and the movement not quite being there yet. Walker and Stones in particular got exposed a lot because of it. When it was working it looked good though so give it a few fire games I think.
Didn't think Foden was that bad, I think Pep needs to coach him to automatically pass to Haaland if he's waiting unmarked in the middle.
ASM had Walker's number today, we'll handle him differently next time we meet.
Annoying that Trippier openly admitted it was a professional foul on KdB as if it was expected of him. Yellow card was right but I'd have had no sympathy if the red hadn't been overturned.
It was less he didn’t make the pass to Haaland, he turned into trouble quite a few times today.
Walker, that’s because he was so central. When he was in his normal position, he had ASM covered which is what I mean about the tactics not bedding in yet. If we’re going to do that, cancelo has to hang back more and stones go further right. We played right into his hands bit doing that and you could see Pep saying it a few times on the touch line.
One of those though, could have reverted back but he clearly wants the team to get used to it and we could have won it still. We did give up a lot of chances at the same time though so draw was pretty fair I thought.
A draw was a good result as we played badly. Rodri was the old Rodri, when he first arrived, dithering on the ball. Foden was lost out there. KDB was invisible first half and the entire back line exposed.
I thought only Haaland , Bernardo and Gundo had good games
A draw was fair, but when we equalised it’s a shame we couldn’t maintain the pressure and get the 4th. I thought we might have seen Alvarez come on at that point.
