I never really get these hate campaigns. First of all why pick out McGuire when there are so many to choose from? Secondly it ain't going to help him improve, quite the reverse. I always think the hate campaign is the true hallmark of the plastic fan.

At first I thought it was hilarious watching him trying to live up to Man Utd standards !! like watching a spider trying to get out the bath.... after a while you just feel sorry for him and its better to flush him down the drain.

I think it's the manner in which he conducts himself that makes this 10x worse than it should be. Also his price tag didn't help either.
its cos he is pi$h pure and simple .... be as detailed and look into individual stats if you want.. bottom line is cos he is pi$h and cost a fortune. even more so that you dont really have anyone better just now that can replace him.

Probably less. But his wages were obscene and he wasn’t even Championship level. Maguire’s been a much, much better signing.
Creating Youtube compilations - and the time/effort that entails - is a bit much for me.
But I can see why people dislike Maguire.
1) He's a slightly-above-average footballer
2) He cost an embarrassing amount of money
3) He has the turning circle of an aircraft carrier
But most of all:
4) He looks like a hench Alan Partridge, with the same level of self-awareness
Cupping his ears did it for me 😂
Maguire tbf was decent when he first got here. After the Greek incident and Ole leaving when he spiraled to the depths of hell with his form.
Maybe loaning him out or selling him might be the move here to get him out of his funk.

To be fair to Maguire when we played the Europa Final we were all hoping he'd be fit for it. Perhaps we'd have won it if he was.
He's not a bad player IMO but he did have a poor season last season. Then again nearly everyone did. I do think it was a mistake making him captain though although I kind of understand why Ole gave him the captaincy. Showed the lack of leadership options really.
But wasn’t one of the key reasons we bought him because of his supposed leadership? I thought that was a quality Ole was really trying to bring into the squad which doesn’t seem to have happened.
He might seem like a leader and maybe was at Leicester and Hull but he comes across quite weak mentally and like many struggles to deal with the pressures that come with playing for a big side.
This Manchester United could break prime Roy Keane I reckon.
Think the oreational hate says more about our entitled fanbase. Which is probably the worst thing that the Fergie years created.
