Group A: Ajax, Liverpool, Napoli, Rangers

Group B: Porto, Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, Club Bruges

Group C: Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Viktoria Plzen

Group D: Eintracht Frankfurt, Tottenham, Sporting Lisbon, Marseille

Group E: AC Milan, Chelsea, RB Salzburg, Dinamo Zagreb

Group F: Real Madrid, RB Leipzig, Shakhtar Donetsk, Celtic

Group G: Manchester City, Sevilla, Borussia Dortmund, FC Copenhagen

Group H: Paris St-Germain, Juventus, Benfica, Maccabi Haifa

If one group had to have 5 teams and we were dropped into one of them at random, I'd fancy us to be able to qualify in top 2 from any of B,D and F. Possibly even A or E too.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You wouldn't even get Europa after Xmas in A or E.

We'll get out of the group but there is now quite a benefit to finishing first in that you get to skip the last 32 round. Would play our best team in the 2 games vs Sociedad of possible. The second string should be enough for the other 4.

Best chance of CL football for United is winning it so i think Ten Hag will take it seriously.

Can't play a B team v Sociedad.
Wouldn't do it in either away game, some changes but you will need some big players.

An early goal for the Cypriots and you would be in major trouble with the atmosphere they will generate.

Our 2nd team is surely more than good enough to get out of the group here.

As it stands

Heaton
AWB Maguire Lindelof Shaw
McFred
Pellistri Donny Elanga
Ronaldo

No reason to play the first XI in any game imo.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We will see some first XI players in this. You always do. Usually for game time when coming back from injuries.

The Europa will be useful for Ten Hag to try out different combinations. Rotation is going to be pretty important this season, so getting a chance to build some different partnerships that can be switched in and out will be good thing.

I don’t think getting back in the CL is the be all and end all this season.

That’s a tough group considering the teams you could’ve got. That Sheriff team did well in the CL recently.

omonia? brings a tear to the eyes.

And allows crack-heads to thrive. Horrible smelling stuff. I have never taken crack.

The rotating can be a problem when swapping a whole side out, so it’s got to be 2-4 changes I reckon.

Need to get consistency early and practice for, what we hope will be CL next season. By practice I mean getting used to travelling together under this regime.

Maybe not but we shouldn't just bin our best opportunity to get there imo. I think we should rotate more for the long distance away games but go close to full strength at home
