Sorry just trying to make light of a difficult time as a rovers fan!
Andy Cole: Did well for us not sure how he did for the clarets though.

Begrudgingly have to admit that 6 goals from 13 games wasn't bad for a twilight Cole.......God I need a drink after that!

Didn't Walter Joyce leave us to play for the dark side, he was a pretty good player.
Newton was probably one of the best full backs that I ever saw play, cool and classy, not afraid to put his body on line. Should have had a far more caps for England, Wovers should be very proud of bringing him through their ranks.

Ralph Coates he was an excellent player and an international Burnley sold him to Spurs where he played many a season at White Hart Lane.Alas Ralph Coates passed away a short while back(R.I.P).Yes for a Claret a very good player.

What about our Dougie, only saw him play once but a bit of a character. Same team had a lot of really good players and it was a good era for both sets of fans.
Never liked England thought he was one of the dirtiest players I have seen, him and Colin Blant would not spoil a pair.

Bryan Douglas was one of the best wingers of his day scored quite a lot also and with England ,man that was some player!Just thinking of that forward line gives me the shivers.Mcevoy Byrom Harrison and Fergie -Ferguson. and the maestro himself with the magic feet plus Ronnie Clayton in defence!

Burnley also had Willie Morgan a very gifted player in deed!
