Trent, Robertson, Salah, Fabinho and especially Van Dijk have all been massive let downs so far.
It’s why I thought we needed new players, fresh injection of enthusiasm in the squad as this lot just look tired.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We do have new players. You can’t change a whole team.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We have one new player that should be starting games, and he’s flattered to deceive so far. We should have been after a starting midfielder, it’s what we desperately lack.

A panic loan on deadline day is not what I mean.
I think Arthur will succeed but he’s not the long term answer we need and it won’t be Bellingham if we keep up this shiiiite form.
Think too many games in pre-season has left us overcooked.
It's one thing to play bad but we've lacked intensity in virtually every game this season.

Salah isn't the problem. The problem is our dreadful midfield which can't control the game and offer any creativity. The midfield passing is too slow which doesn't help the wingers to get them 1v1 with isolated fullbacks.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We created loads. Their keeper got motm.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We didn't create loads. We had one chance in the first half and the Salah one in the last minute of stoppage time. The others were some shots which weren't really good chances.
We created loads, hit the woodwork three times and their keeper got motm in an away derby game.
Yes they created a few chances themselves, and so they should at home in a derby, but we had more possession, more shots, more shots on target, more corners, more territory.
It's a poor start points wise but other than Utd we've been the better team in every game but unfortunately fine margins has seen us draw a few games.
We'll be absolutely fine but I do not think we look particularly well prepared fitness wise at all. Hopefully that means we finish stronger at the business end of the season but it looks quite a big error to me.
That was a really poor second half performance. Hard to believe how bad we were without the ball at times, seriously lucky to get out of that with a point in my opinion.
Looking like a long season unless we improve considerably and quickly.
We are too slow in midfield to break teams down. Watch City's midfield when they break the lines with dribbling and speed of passing. We have Milner who needs 100 years time on the ball to make a pass.

We started that half really strongly and Everton struggled with the switch and then the subs came and we were all over the place. I'm not sure everyone knew their roles and it reminded me of some games under Rodgers tbh.
I can only think Klopp has been told not to play Trent and Tsimikas for more than an hour because it changed the game considerably.
