Should never have let Cresswell go
Cresswell has been making mistakes out on loan. Been rotated in and out because he's not acclimatised quickly. He's not the answer.
Struijk should be at LCB, ultimately. Its a necessity.
Llorente had the worst aerial dual percentage for any centre back in the PL last year.
They were bought under bielsa who liked ball playing centre halves.
As were whether struijk is the answer? He’s shown plenty of promise in the past and is still young…but last year had a confidence crisis and was the worst of all of them.

He's been individually excellent so far this season. Wasn't great last year, but left massively exposed by us being generally awful. We have a top level talent, and are wasting him sticking him at LB.
Yep he’s done well this year playing out of position. And given the alternatives I’d be advocating playing him in his proper position if we had a fit left back at the club. My point was whether you rate him or not, and I do, he was very much part of the problem last year. There was a run of games where his head had completely gone and had to be dropped. So it’s a leap of faith to suggest it’s definitely the answer. Especially given (assuming we had a full compliment of CBs) he’d either be competing with coops… or have one of them playing on their unfavoured side.
How far is Coops off match fitness?
Problem is that teams are by passing our midfield and playing it straight to the strrikers. Our defenders need to be able to win the long balls but they aren't. It's poor
