Are Arsenal fans going to redesign the entire structure of refereeing in this country because their goal was correctly disallowed at the weekend?

I don’t think all our refs should have to be English, we should be recruiting the best for the job. The league isn’t ‘English’ anymore it’s worldwide. Get the cream of the crop in.

The rules of football are international so the nationality of the refs shouldn't matter as long as they can communicate in English, but get Pierluig Collina to train them.

Pretty sure we were complaining about the standard of refs and VAR in this country long before Sunday 🤔

Tells you everything when it is only United fans who think they are great 🤑

Let me guess it’s a conspiracy against everyone but United

Refs are sometimes good and sometimes bad, but let’s not pretend this article would be written if you’d won at the weekend.

"But what people's thoughts about the idea of having refs from whatever part the world, (they'll have to be trained, qualified, experienced etc) reffing games here, could it work or do you think it should stay as it is?"

Explain please!..

Does this mean that referee's from other countries that'll have earned their badges ain't as qualified as the English refs that'll basically have the same badges?..

I'm sure that all world and european refs have to have the same qualifications to be able to do world cup, european cup and all other competitions that bring countries together!..

And not all are English speaking!..

This is about referees in PL games, not internationals, where the majority of players speak English.

Several articles about the poor standard of refs have been written pre-Sunday.

It's just a point I made to emphasise that im not talking about employing anyone and everyone...before someone said that.

Good refereeing requires speaking to the players to explain decisions or warn them about their conduct. Just pointing and making gestures is not sufficient. Again I am not referring to international games.

And I'll bet there are referee's in Europe that speak better English than you!..

What got me on the is the!..

"(they'll have to be trained, qualified, experienced etc)"

They are as qualified as any English/British ref, and a lot off them as has been seen these last few weeks are a sight better!..
