Shame, I really liked potter. Can’t stand him now.

Cant really blame him for taking it to be honest as the opportunity may not come around again.
That said it will be a totally different environment for him and wont have the luxury of time.
Mind you im sure he’ll get a big pay off if/when he gets sacked so wouldn’t have too much sympathy

Potter looks like Lee Gunner

I suppose personally he had to take it, whatever we think of Chelsea they're a big club and it's a massive opportunity for him. Good to see that he's getting the reward of all his work.

But at the same time, he is going to need a couple of seasons to settle in and do what he does, and surely he looks at how they've treated managers in the past and must worry?

Who knows. But fair play to him.

Brighton raided Swansea to get Potter

Chelsea raided Brighton to get Potter

It’s the football food chain.

£20 million for a new manager is a good deal for Chelsea probably the best value for money signing the new owner has made.

I doubt he will last long. But best of luck to him, he seems like a real decent guy.

Chelsea seems the worst fit of the big 6 for him. However, can't blame him for taking it as these opportunities come around rarely.

Great appointment. Hoping Chelsea do the Chelsea thing and expect too much too soon.

If he is given the rest of this season and next, he will have them competing again for leagues and CL titles imo.

That’s said, also glad Poch didn’t ruin his popularity with Spurs fans by joining them.

Apparently we are the only team in the big 6 he has never beaten and you know what they say, if you can't beat them........

Interesting appointment, Chelsea are a club far away from what Potter is used to

So Potter goes to Slytherin.

I always wanted to see what he'd do at a big club but going to Chelsea is just wrong. Sad day for Brighton and for anyone who is a fan of his.

Kind of hard to know how he will do there. He'll be working with better players to begin with that he had at Chelsea so may need less time to see the fruits of his new managerial style bear fruit. However he'd be dealing with more pressure and bigger egos which could set things back.

I couldn't care less if he went to Chelsea. Haven't Spurs had a few ex Chelsea managers?

So Potters just another a hole who leaves a good job for big money. I understand him having ambition to win things but he must of broke the sound barrier high tailing it out of Brighton.
