It makes no sense to you because you have no idea on the numbers needed and the numbers available on those given times of day.
So Arsenal can’t host a Europa game
But can have a London derby 3 days later?
Is there that much disparity in what’s needed police wise?
The authorities won't want Liverpool fans booing the minute’s silence live on Sky
Spurs have a higher capacity so I’d think it would require a similar police force to manage as it would a game at the emirates?
Arsenal are away to Brentford, not the hosts.
Brighton game was called off before the death and has nothing to do with the Queen (despite it being full of them)
Man Utd/Leeds and Chelsea/Liverpool would need far greater police presence than Brentfords 17k capacity. Plus that game has moved to 12pm and there isn't any real rivalry.
I guess the idea of a Dutch invasion was enough to cancel the PSV game, although it doesn't really add up. Nor does Spurs game going ahead.
Given Napoli fans were uninvited to Rangers and the game moved, it is surprising we couldn't do the same.
12 years of Tory government feckin wreck police numbers.
Who’d a thunk it?
A month off between PL fixtures is just insane. With the Thursday Sunday schedule as is it’s gonna be a nightmare to fit these 2 games back in with the already messed up WC schedule.
If the PL is gonna postpone games for this reason then it should be everyone gets postponed in the interest of integrity but god forbid

At least the PL has until June, Arsenal will have to fit in the PSV game pre- World Cup with no free midweek.
Don’t the clubs pay the police for the privilege?
So they’ve paid them and now they’re saying sorry we have to go this free thing over the road at buckingham palace
Sue em for breach of contract lol

London’s football clubs paid less than four per cent of the £8m it took to police football matches in the capital last season.
The clubs paid just £270k of the cost because of legislation which means they are only expected to pay a fee for policing inside the stadium and on their land, resulting in the taxpayer picking up the hefty £8m bill (a lower sum compared to previous seasons due to the pandemic).
Also, good luck getting them to police further games if you sue them 😂😂
The Arsenal / Spurs thing is a bit mystifying. It would seem though that they class CL n EL games as Category 1 risk. That can be the only explanation.
Spurs being allowed to host a PL game of 60,000 people on the Saturday where London is going to be heaving with day trippers just seems madness though.
And we are sending coppers from the GMP to London in order for a number of these events to go ahead as well as the huge tourist areas being policed.
Crazy times.
Are people being reimbursed on their council tax as their local police budget is being used to police a city 200 miles away?

Last weekend makes zero sense at all

Surely it also points to a lack of trust in all the weirdos that will be heading to London to grovel over the death of a woman they didn't know, who lived a great long life.
