Sandy, you need to brush up on your maths, mate.
Even discounting City and Chelsea, unless you believe Spurs are the 8th biggest club in England, it just proves how badly they've underachieved during the past 70 (SEVENTY) years.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There are nine team in front of Spurs on the league list typed by the OP, I have omitted both Chelsea and City, because I do not count their financially doped trophies. So that makes Spurs the 8th (joint) most successful league team for titles under Her Majesty. Absolutely nothing wrong with my Maths.
Having said that Spurs are clearly better than 8th best team in the country, because football is more than just about the league.
I would put Spurs probably 3rd behind United and Liverpool in the Queen`s reign. Taking into account FA CUP, League Cup and European Success.

More interestingly I was told that a day on Venus lasts longer than a year on Venus. I hope this fact gives readers something to take away from this otherwise pointless article.

Wow that's quite amazing.
Unfortunately it's not actually true.

'7th in the all time league is pretty good in anyone's book. '
Ahh, so you were congratulating Derby.
Fair enough. My mistake.

In league title terms yes Derby deserve to be joint 7th on the list during the late Queen's reign. But we all know Derby are not the 7th best team in the country. They never won an FA Cup, a League Cup or a European trophy over the 70 years.
Going purely by the OP, they're 7th, not join 7th.
Which is remarkable enough in itself, but even more so when you look at some of the clubs listed below them.
*7th with your exclusion of City and Chelsea
Where are spurs on that list?
Don't derail the discussion, Baz. Sandy and I were both marveling at Derby's achievements in the league over the last 70 years.
We'll no doubt get round to discussing Tottenham's in due course...

Only clubs that still exist allowed
Fair enough Lex, I’m sure that will take a while to discuss Spurs achievements, so make sure you can spare a few seconds later to cover it.
