England too good today

They couldn't handle Mark Wood, serious pace today!

Topley too. We always struggle against tall bowlers and he is massive.

Missed yesterday's match but seems topley and wood made a big difference.

We are too predictable in the post power play overs. Can't just bowl 7-8 overs of spin against good players of spin. Babar always makes this mistake.

Wood was bowling bombs and probably about 10-15mph quicker than the likes of Curran and Willey.

Topley is an extremely underrated bowler and despite being a similar speed to Willey and Curran, his height is a weapon as well as his deliveries on a good length almost act like a back of a length delivery which seems to be the hardest delivery to hit for 6 these days. Obviously a perfect or wide yorker is the hardest but get that slightly wrong and it's usually in the slot.

Back on today...looking forward to it

Shocking way to win a cricket match:

I'm in two minds about it. I hate the dismissal but it's a mode of dismissal that is in the laws of the game. We can talk about the spirit of cricket all we want but if you can dismiss a batter in that way then it will be used.

I feel sorry for Dean as she stayed in the crease watching the bowler and then instinctively turned just as the ball looked like it was going to be bowled. She's been done by a premeditated action so hopefully it's a lesson learned and it won't happen to her in a more important game.

Frustratingly for England, I'm sure Dean would have told Davies to block the last couple of balls so that she was on strike again. So she shouldn't have been looking to leave the crease at all.

It used to be the custom for the bowler to give the batter a 'warning'.

Olly Stone comes in for Mark Wood. Opener Alex Hales returns for Dawid Malan, with Will Jacks moving to three. David Willey also comes back for Sam Curran.

That top 6 is ridiculously competitive. No Buttler, Malan, Bairstow (I know he is injured), Stokes or Livingstone yet still plenty of firepower there.

Realistically only 1 or 2 places up for grabs for the top 5.
