No left footed player at the back is a recipe for disaster.
Grealish was my motm at the last meeting, should be well up for it after sitting out Monday night
I would like to see grealish start. I just went off what I think he will do. I also thought grealish did well in the Derby last year.
I just picked that back 4 because it was the 3 v wolves and walker in for stones. If it was up to me I would like ake playing not just because he is left footed, also because he has the recovery pace. United have been a counter attacking side in this recovery period.
I’d be happy with that team, and also Grealish in for Gundogan with Bernardo dropping into midfield.
Hope we go for them from the off, clearly a superior team, but they will be up for it and tend to do better at our place in recent years. Want to see us hungry and make difficult for them, north London derby on Saturday so could be a chance to go top come Sunday, and don’t want them to get a sniff of going 2 points behind us - be unacceptable that at this stage of the season!
I agree with that grated. It will be interesting to see if they start with a midfielder of mctominay, Bruno and eriksen. Mctominay will be given his 5 fouls b4 a yellow but we should be getting some chances through that midfielder.
I’d be up for seeing Gundogan start tbh, reckon he will score if he does. So good at ghosting into the box, not sure United will be able to deal with that as well as the physicality of Haaland
Ye I like gundo in the big games or any game tbh. If they had gundo and bernardo in the middle controlling the game with rodri. Then kdb foden on either side of haaland I think it would work.
Kdb in like a free role from the right like he was at wolfsburg. Won't happen tho as he prefers him more central which is fair enough he's been the best player in the league there.
Watched most City games this season as my eldest has adopted them as his team in the last 6 months. One thing I've noticed massively, is that whoever out of Gundogan or Bernardo miss out in terms of selection, they always seem to pull rabbits out of the hat when they're subbed on. Either of them can change a game in a click of the fingers no matter how much it looks to be going away from City. Can see it being the same this weekend too.
ETH if he has any sense will go deep lying fast counter attack, which is your weakness.

Tbh he isn't really changing the game plan there from what's got you the recent good run. Especially in the two games against Arsenal and Liverpool.
Teams have had success against City this season doing it aswel. The likes of Palace, Newcastle and even Wolves last time out had some moments doing it.
With the way Pep sets up it is always going to be the best way to get at us. The fact that we haven't had settled defence this season won't be helping either.

True, we seem to be able to change a disappointing performance around if one of them isn't starting. Foden had success against Dortmund but he has started most games this season.
Mahrez could really do with making an impact of the bench soon as he is falling down the pecking order. I thought he was going to play alot more as he isn't going to the world Cup. His performances haven't been good enough and there is too much competition to stick with him if not playing well.
We've won 5 of the last 8 at the Etihad. That's pretty crazy really given how poor we've been as a club and team.
Utd 5 wins
City 2
Draw 1
Not that crazy, it’s been your biggest game of the season for 5 or 6 years, and a game that has generally kept whatever manager you’ve had at the wheel in work for a few more weeks at least. It matters more given the timing of the fixture this season.

Liverpool will always be our biggest game numbnuts. That's how insignificant you were pre takeover and now post it.
Two team City and not even our biggest fixture. ð
Your idol Paul Scholes says otherwise
We all know this is the only put down you’ve got left though so I’ll let you have it
I'm not sayingbit isn't your biggest fixture and maybe it is fall all your mate. It certainly isn't every united fan.
The majority of the United mates I have admit City is their biggest rival now. Even Scholes said its his biggest rival, using the words even when they were in league 1.
There was videos of our local pub of United fans celebrating the Coitinho goal.
I think Liverpool v United is bigger for the out of towners, and as se85 is someone who can’t remember where exactly it was in mcr he was born ð
Oh yes I can definitely agree with you on that. I know a few Welsh lads and they certainly dislike Liverpool more.

Far too high brow for Gorton mate. Dane Bank.
Mad how you’ve always lived in Salford but forgot where that time ðĪŠ
I wonder if United fans will be daft enough to try and storm the Townley again before the game.
