Early days but Arsenal looking good

Pep’s coneman getting gifts from Pep with Jesus and Zinchenko. Must be annoying for Arteta that Haaland had to come this year to give Arsenal pretty much no chance at the league.

I thought they played really well against United and were undone by sucker punches effectively. It happens.

They are looking good though, and have shown that they can compete with the other top six sides by beating Spurs and Liverpool. It does look to be a promising season for them and they have undoubtedly improved.

Arteta is showing himself to be a good upcoming manager. Given his ties to City, I’d kind of like him to replace Pep when that inevitable time comes, but Arsenal are too big a club for that to happen. In other words, he is building something good at Arsenal and so can’t see him giving that up just because we may come calling in a year or two.

If City didn’t sign Haaland we wouldn’t have got lord Jesus though

they are not going to be genuine challengers (as in only being a point or two off at the end of the season)

Arsenal played terribly against Man Utd and should have lost by 6 or 7. Eriksen missed a near open goal at the start, Fernandes missed a sitter 2nd half and Fred had an easy ball for Ronaldo clean through and overhit it. They should also had 2 players sent off In the 1st half so it could have been a thrashing by 7 or 8 really.

Man Utd players were having a missnof the season contender game against Arsenal. Who can miss the easiest chance competition.

Arsenal look really good, I don't know why a lot of people on here assume City will win the league.

Both these were not given and Arsenal tried to cry refs against them when they kick and push Eriksen from behind and don’t win the ball lol.

Yeah I am. One shot by Everton so far and one goal.

Man Utd can only win the league once De Gea leaves I think now. Need goalkeepers who give everything to save a shot rather than watch the ball in. I think De Gea conceded like 30 goals plus every season from 20 yards out or more in last 4 years. He just watched the ball and doesn’t move.

I watched Arsenal a few times this season as they played a few of the big games and I noticed they play with so much energy. Sort of took that from Pep I think.

Not needed the Viking either, you’re chasing them.

City clear favourites having been over the course but with some good fortune Arsenal might be able to hold it together if City hit a sticky patch or Haaland gets injured

Not saying we would have won against UTD but Arsenal were without Partey. Xhaka needs Partey behind him. Lakonga is no Partey. I'm sure City's 3rd choice DM is better than our 2nd. We need to add back up in Jan

Not sure beating Liverpool is an indicator of a good side, most of our players can't be bothered anymore.

Liverpool have been Arsenal's bogey team for years even when they were poor, it removes a mental block. This Liverpool team would beat last seasons Arsenal team. Arsenal's recent record against chelsea started to improve after getting a win a few years back, even when chelsea had conte they started losing more to Arsenal. Don't forget last seasons poor Arsenal beat Chelsea 4-2 at their ground.
