I thought during the game on Thursday that he showed pace that I wasn't sure he still had in the locker. He looked quicker and sharper. Hopefully it signals a return to his best form.
Gutted that Martial had to go off injured again, as these two have a good understanding of how each other play and where they will be. 3 goals and 2 assists in 133 minutes of football suggests that Martial would do very nicely under ETH if he could actually stay fit.

He looks a lot fitter this season. Good times are coming for him again. Definitely needs to play off the left though as that's where he is at his best.

Yeh is more dangerous from the left. That crossfield switch is hard to defend against when Rashford is on the move and times his run correctly. Not many defenders going to catch him in that situation.

Decent performance yesterday and you were already writing a negative article before the final whistle had already gone… boring.
Agreed 100%. He looks happier. He even smiled when he had the goal disallowed.

Rashers is having a good season. I think people expect a bit too much from him, but he is chugging along nicely, this season, with big goals and assists. All while being moved from position to position.

A goal involvement every 89 minutes as things stand. Would be very happy if he can continue that throughout the season.

He looks so much better on the left. All of his goals so far this season have come when he’s played in that role.
Wonder what striker would work best with Rash and Antony? Maybe Toney

What is his link play like Robb?
Hes certainly having a much better season and is one of our more productive players, but for me he still has frustrating deficiencies in his game, his first touch is so poor for a high-level player, and he turns the ball over too much for my liking. But I suppose thats a product of trying to make things happen, and if he keeps playing how he is and geting the numbers he is so far this season then we cant complain at all. As someone says above, maybe we expect too much from him.
The cross for the Casemiro header was sublime too. Not enough has been said about it.
Should have left the pitch with another goal and assist really.
Love Rashy sitting down the haters in our own fanbase.
Rashford good but again Ronaldo this difference maker.

I wouldn't go that far. It was his best performance of the season for sure but that's still only his 1st PL goal of the season.
Him skipping pre-season at his age was just such a stupid thing to do. Presumably he believed by doing so he'd be getting his move away and it never materialised.
He's still got goals in him as he's an incredible finisher but he's nowhere near the threat as he once was. Sad to see.

He's sitting me down. I'm a registered hater. This might be the first time he has an actual manager who puts in actual tactical Training to the players. He is massively talented and has potential to be an absolute star. Like Ronaldo level.
Good article Robb. I agree I think he is well on the way back to where he was.
My take is that Rashford (as other players at United have) has come through some strange times over the last 2 or 3 years, what started with his back injury which wasnt addressed early enough then the shoulder/arm injuries, then delaying surgery to keep in the Euros squad.... but mainly for me being the type of 'confidence player' player that he is, he unwittingly and gradually became like a self-imposed 'victim' of the overall, self-managed decline of MUFC that has come out of the Clubs circus like 'turmoil' (lack of trophy success, hire and fire of managers, Ed being a kock, Glazers ongoing, players leaks, all whilst Lpool and City kept dominating, etc. etc.etc, ) that have infected the Club like a cancer over the last few seasons. Especially during this period Marcus been also seen by most Reds as the Manchester in Manchester United which makes him a bit more precious to us that some of the 'mercenaries' that have come and gone . His school dinners thing and then the mural in Withy has also been a distraction mainly to the many Rashford haters, but I think that has been mainly political.
I think Ten Hag will be very good for him.
