with the tie you have there aint much more to recommend.
Lake Como is about 45 min away on the train but thats a whole day effort.
the shopping area is mental and far far bigger than I expected.
Best advice is to get the three day metro ticket. not expensive, and really handy.
the metro will get you anywhere round the city, and is very simple to understand.
I actually really enjoyed the walk back to hotel from the stadium there is a route you can take that follows the horse tracks and the walls on the outside for miles has all different types of street spray paint art, most of it related to football. some of it is outstanding.
yeah I think theres a 24 hour one which we will get, we're bang in the centre so can always walk as well.
Can you use the metro ticket for buses? and from the airport?
In regards to walking back, as an away fan im not sure if thats even possible and think theres a police escort

walking distances are a good bit further than they appear !!
no the metro tickets only do the underground. the tickets from airport to milan aint to bad every half hour and about 7 euro if i remember correct?
what airport you flying into ?
the milan fans aint that bad IMO. maybe different for english fans however. after the derby all the fans were mixed after it ... they all use the same trains, use the same exits and the area round the ground and walking back was all mixed between inter and ac fans.
good choice easiest airport to get through, quickest and closest to city centre.
bus to milan from airport is about 30 mins max. takes you right to central station and will pick you up directly where it drops you off from. Tickets for these can be bought at kiosk in central and airport or for the same price just walk up to the driver and he will sell you it there and then,
Nice, cheers mate.
I think flight was like £120, air bnb £120 (60 quid each) for two bed in centre of milan, match ticket £35.
So about £210 for the whole thing, didn't think that was too bad. Mind you, add that to ive done every cl home game, every home pl game, and done a couple away games...maybe my mrs has a point

yeah it aint that expensive and like you said need to take in that stadium before they demolish it.
I didnt think the stadium was as bad as people make out .. I did the stadium tour also, i mean its not pristine and shiny shiny but it aint falling apart, and I much prefer the charm of an older stadium than the boring new ones.
I went and saw Inter vs Chelsea back in 2010. Granted that was 12 years ago, but when the game finished we were kept in for what easily must have been an hour. When we did finally get out, it was very late and very empty, even the police had cleared off!

really??
there was Inter fans in with AC fans (AC home game)
they were all sharing the same outside food and beer area surrounding the stadium and like I said walking home there zero trouble ad all mingled.
Far less police presence than I woulda thought also tbf.
it must be a English thing then ?
granted it may be the same if Scottish Fans travel there.
Rangers havent ever played them competitively for me to know however.
Iv only been for the derby just last month there
Im not sure if its that common anymore. At SB they always use to hold the away fans (atleast the rivals) back after matches but now you dont see it as much
I don't remember there being much trouble between fans before the game. The police certainly made sure there wasn't any after the game lol.
Just sharing what I remember and certainly not trying to have a moan about it.

share away cos it might be the case its still like that !
Dont assume cos I said it was all nicey at the derby it will be the same for Chelsea !
I watched that game in the North Sea on HMS Grafton in a storm force 9.
Must have been the only person not off watch that wasn't turned in their bunk.
I managed to get it linked through to the big screen in the dining hall from the satellite.
I had to hang on to a lashed down table to stop myself being thrown all over the dining room - Dennis's goal made it all worth while!!

Yes, we spent 4 days out there. Packed out our end. Loads of Lazio with us.
I was at the inter game 12 years ago and same experience. We found a bar near our hotel post game but we paid something like 14 pounds albeit for a stein sized glass.
Heard via Facebook there was some trouble yesterday so keep an eye out. This often happens early but day of game it tends to be quieter.
