There's more to it with Hamann, he seems to have constantly criticised Klopp over the years and I don't think Klopp particularly likes him.

It’s not the first time though. Only a few weeks ago he did the same with Agbonlahor (he’s an idiot but Klopp shouldn’t respond to idiots).
He's always been like this but like Welsh said with Didi there is previous.
His teeth are looking great btw
After years of listening to pundits shamelessly twerking for this guy , he must be having a difficult time snapping back to reality now that his team aren't the self-proclaimed "the best team in the world" anymore
I saw this on the news and thought it was brilliant from Klopp...calling out a pundit (ex pro or not) for talking sheite. He really laid into him . Good on him 👍
Hamann is a complete knobwipe, I’m with Jurgen on this.

It's the reason people either really like Klopp or really don't like him - the reactions you get are real. He does respond to idiots, he does give you his views. Personally I prefer it to the standard 'no comment' or avoiding the question.
Hamann appears to be rent-a-gob with regards Liverpool though. He called Thiago the most overrated player in European football last year. Pretty clear Klopp doesn't like him that much.
Different deal with Hamman,
well known as unprofessional, used to smoke etc and HT, different era but not that different. Carra also had a go at him a while back as he was having a go and players these days not being 'professional'
If all the stories are to be believed and that's obviously an 'IF', he was always out on the ale and was ridiculously unprofessional and lots of players covered for him at times.
I think they bite at him more as they really don't respect his opinions.
Steve Nicol is much more biased towards Liverpool as an ex-player but no one really bites at him, as I think that whilst they don't agree with his opinions they respect him a little bit more as he was apparently a model professional...even in those days
now that his team aren't the self-proclaimed "the best team in the world" anymore
...
tbf they won the club world cup so had a year where they were officially the best club side in the world
At one point we were the Super Premier European Champions of the World...until Atletico knocked us out of the CL
No other English team ever held that title
He does come across as needlessly rude sometimes. I sort of get why he does it… sort of. I think that reporter dealt with it fairly well.
Some of these ex-players are just trying to be controversial so they get more gigs, and don;t care about who they hrt or if they are talking sens or the truth. Good on Klopp!
idk about the previous with dietmar and just watched it for the first time. Didnt think it was that bad and both handled it fine. Then he went on and spoke about Liverpools situation and the Arsenal game well making good fair and honest points.
Definitely didn't see what you did OP and i tried.
I'm one of the first to admit that Klopp can be a bit spikey and is also a bad loser but he is absolutely spot on here imo.

What’s he ‘spot on’ about? I don’t think the interviewer’s question was out of line or disrespectful in any way, and the fact that the phrase ‘need a spark’ wasn’t his own doesn’t seem all that relevant. I can’t see what it was that so upset Klopp.
Hamann is a grade 1 clown in fairness. Another example of a clown who’s lucky to be a pundit.

He’s done this before, it’s because he’s stuck up and think he’s better than the person asking him questions and that this gives him the right to treat the other person like shiiit. He’s a nasty nasty guy who hides his real personality behind smiles when he’s winning, but in this moment when Liverpool are doing badly the true Klopp comes out.
