Played well overall. Kane, hjolberg and of course Sonny were very good
Royal was still our weak point.
We conceded awful goals full of individual errors but the first half response was very encouraging.
We should be beating Everton on Saturday

I’ve read somewhere that if we beat Everton we will have amassed the most points from the first ten games in our history.
Not too shabby!

I kind of get it though, the team we were treated to in the second half of last season that was averaging 3 goals a game over that 10 game run is not the same side we have seen this season.
We’re very cagey and we invite pressure on to us, I believe it’s an energy saving tactic and that we will go for it in the second half of the season, but I think it’s fair to describe us as turgid so far.
Our fans are going to care little about that little bit of history whilst Arsenal remain above us also. We know the wheels will fall off for them at some point but I’m not convinced it will be this side of Xmas.

Games like last night need to be backed up with similar performances though.
A lot of Prem teams know to stick an extra man in midfield, give us the ball (as we don’t seem to want it) and make us go wide to Sess and Royal.
The football hasn’t been great but you can’t argue with the points as long as it continues. But we’re not winning the league so need to do better in cup comps.

Looks like Sonny’s form has returned and Kulu is due back against Everton.
Reasons to be cheerful.

Just read the match thread…..
I thought we played well last night - yes 2 silly goals to give away, Kane practicing for Rugby try-outs with that 2nd pen and becoming a bit shambolic after the subs. But a thoroughly entertaining game, top of the group and 3rd in the league - as Sizz said “Reasons to be cheerful”
First of all, we have to stop this fumble footing around in our penalty area. This is the second time in a week we've gifted the opening goal to the opposition.
Secondly, kudos to Son, Kane, and our stalwarts in
1. defence, Romero and Dier (minus the blunder)
2. midfield, Hojbjerg, Betancur and Sessignon (minus the missed goal).
I give Richarleson a plus for a very good game today. Set up a gift for Sessignon.
How about Lenglet? I saw nothing wrong today, he does his job. He's not as obvious as Romero, but he's always in position.
Emerson? Works hard, but maybe Doherty is a better choice.
Finally, those Subs and the last 5 mins collapse against 10 men!
I think it says more about how much we owe to Hojbjerg and Betancur.

I agree Kulusevski adds another dimension to our team.
I wonder what happens to Richarleson when Kulsevski comes back?
Can we have both of them on the pitch at the same time?
Imagine a front four...
Kulusevski, Kane, Richarleson, Son.
Could Conte ever play that?

We gave away 2 silly goals, don't you know?
This was a game we should have, and could have won 5-0 or 6-0.
Had we taken more of our chances and not given absolutely stupid goals away.
Played a great 70 mins. Passing, pace and accuracy all on point
Subs could have been used better, 3-1 up would have been an opportunity to give Spence a run out or Doherty, too many random pointless subs
Yeah good and performance overal. Miles better than compared to the Brighton game.
Looking ahead, when Royal's suspension is over he is going to continue to pick him over Doherty isn't he? Mad bar steward.
We should have beaten Frankfurt in Germany, the amount of chances we missed in the first half of that game was enough to win 3 or 4 matches.
Glad Kulu is back, he is a huge player in this set up and offers the most creativity.
