Definitely the correct thing to do but very hard to put into place.
To be fair the fans were good again until the last period.
Its hard when the tempo is poor, attacking play is so disjointed and results are the worst they have been in a long long time. When was the last time the club got 2 points from 8 games

This time last week we'd played Arsenal off the park. Amazing how quickly its turned. Seemed to turn in the 70th min v Leicester when JM took Sini off.

Getting relegated shouldnt do too but damage for a club like Leeds.

Should walk it, in champ.

But not with these chancers in charge

Leedsforever I agree with you, how do the Dunning-Kreuger lot believe berating anyone makes them perform better, especially as a lot of those players are made for life? There are people on this board think they can run the club better than the successful business people who own the club. A.R. was a multi-millionaire before he even thought about owning Leeds. He was successful in selling sports television rights, no wonder he was against the European super league because he reasoned it would not work. He was new to running a football club, he made mistakes but he is a quick teach. A lot of the players were bought by Orta on a budget to play in the championship. The owners have a problem do they play for very expensive players or do they increase the club's revenue by increasing the capacity of the ground? Manchester City owners are rich, but they got an advantage by getting ground on the cheap. Leeds does not have that advantage. West Ham and Spurs got a new ground on the cheap, and neither club are short of money because they get a bigger gate than Leeds.

Kwarteng would reintroduce the pie tax for general admission and have free flowing champagne for corporate.

So … we won’t be lucky again with the likes of an MB … that was a freak-one-off for our tosssers of a board; that won't happen again. If we go down, we’ll be there for a decade plus.

You have claimed to be an accountant, surely nobody needs to tell you of the constraints the club face. Not enough revenue due to the lack of ground capacity, plus not enough revenue from commercial ventures and sponsorship. Simple really. I do not know where they get some of the contributors to this board, but some villages might be short of an idiot.

MB was successful because in part he brought a hand-picked backroom staff who he had largely worked with in the past, whereas JM has had to assemble a backroom staff, he has never worked with before. Plus taking over a championship side is different to taking over a premier league side. The backroom staff are a team as well and it takes time for them to gell together Which is why when the head coach is sacked the majority of the backroom staff go as well.

Surely and largely agreed. My point is that Orta et al got incredibly lucky once. I can’t see that luck visiting us again for the foreseeable future (10 years).

The person called Ian, the thing about the internet comments rarely die and it serves some well to do their homework before making a comment. It is surprising what you can find about people from their previous comments, without reading the comment at the time.

posted on 23/10/22

Grey - you have me at a disadvantage - I don’t know anyone on here called Ian. Anyway, and for what it’s worth, I have some empathy with your point about previous comments - but then, aren’t we all damned by our past?

posted on 23/10/22

Possibly, but if we do not learn from our mistakes we are doomed to repeated them. I have read fortune cookies as well. Ian knows who Ian is. I will be surprised if Ian will make himself known.

1 spurs spent £1b on their staduim, so dont know where you get they got it on the cheap.

2. Rad has spoke of increase attendence of generating 50m revenue.

How much would it cost ro redeveloped 2 stands. 150m- 200m ?

So why wouldnt you do it ?

Payback would be within years, and there tonnes of ways to finance it without taking much out of the playing budgets.

Plus it would increase the value of the club.

Ive explained how they could do it, so can you take back the idiot comment please

Maybe Ian is just another unacceptable pejorative term, like Karen.

I will give you Spurs, but not West Ham, though they both wanted the stadium, so it is fair to say someone is half an idiot.

The figure you quote originates from the CEO who you regularly berated. The initial estimate for Chelsea's rebuild doubled by the time the work was completed. It is called capitalism and to get a loan of probably £500 million will take a lot of doing due to the present global economic problems. Have you negotiated a £500 million loan lately? Back to the triangle mate.

posted on 23/10/22

what chelsea rebuild, they havent had a new stand for over 20 years 🤦

And 500m to build two stands. what are you on about

Liverpool just built a massive 20000 stand for £75m

And there plenty of people willing to lend money for these types of things

Leeds Forever, I recall a quote from one of your ancestors on the Titanic.
‘Did we just hit an iceberg?’
‘Yes, but it was just a small one.’

Yeah that's right, if you get relegated you're so good you'll just come straight back up. Just like last time
