What's new from FM22?
Have they sorted international management out yet?
Has this game actually changed at all in the last 20 years or so?

Na havent touched international stuff yet at all, which is very disappointing especially with a World Cup taking place pretty much on release which is a first for FM and a massive missed opportunity.
Its pretty much just an upgrade on the previous one. Not too much added stuff more just refined. Seems a little tougher again with AI adapting to your tactics far more. More animations, more refined transfer stuff with agents. Better physics in match engine. Full Licences for all UEFA comps.
Im still playing the Beta the full game is released next week I think.

Yeah definitely a missed opportunity for sure.
Ok want a testimonial.
Sure I'm a club legend who has won the league 20 times including 12 years in a row at the stadium named after me.
But I want a bit of recognition for all my efforts with a friendly against Afleton as they are the team which gave me my big break in management when they were bottom of the league back in the day
Still on FM14 currently in the year 2066 trying to take a team from level 10 of English football to Premier League.
Got to level 7 but seem to be prepetually stuck in level 8. Did once knock a conference premier team out of the FA Cup though.

If this is true its amazing
Unreal commitment by the board to keep a manager that long
Oh it is true, but it's not the same manager. I retired my first manager and replaced him with a 'son' after 40 years.
If you go on Steam workshop a user has made a file which goes down to level 22 if you fancy a bash yourself.
I think it's much better than FM22. Just subtle changes but they are all noticeable.
I always do the beta with West Ham for a bit of fun and then do my proper save, usually non league, when the game is released
This guy has done 100 seasons in FM

Ahh, Championship Manager 3. My favourite version ever.
Step one: Sign Ian Moore from Stockport County
Step two: Watch in awe as you win every trophy going whilst Moore helps himself to 70 goals a season every season.
If anybody longs for a bit of Champ Manager nostalgia then the full 01/02 version has been available for free download for a long time now, and if you just want the game engine but up to date players, then they've a fantastically dedicated modding community who've done all the hard yards for you.
All here with detailed download instructions:

416 seasons is the world record, it has taken me nearly three years to do 54 lol.

Yep, think the best formation was a diamond 3-4-3. Keane could play at the tip of the diamond too so was a must buy. Seth Johnson from Crewe at CDM and, inexplicably, a 30 year old centre back also from Stockport called Mike Flynn, and that was pretty much the framework for a guaranteed Champions League dynasty.
I have searched high and low for a cracked copy of that version as it lost windows compatibility after XP came out, but to no avail

Yeah, I always used to go back to it until it lost compatability. 01/02 is the most popular version but CM3 was always my favourite as it was the first one I played.
Keiron Dyer from Ipswich was always a must buy for me as well on there.

Yeah, same for me in terms of first version (PC anyway - the original Amiga version stole hours of my childhood).
Been trying to wrack my brains as to who used to be in my best eleven. Also used to have Dyer (providing Ipswich would sell him and Richard Wright) on the right and Alan Johnstone from Sunderland was a must on the left. Can't remember any defenders now but my forward line was generally always Keane, Moore and Spanish guy called Victor from Valladolid. Still quite impressive that I remember that though given it must be 20 years now since I played that version!
It was a sign of things to come I think though as I still play regularly to this day and have already asked "santa" for 23. I think I'd find it easier to kick the cigs than I would FM
One of the very first versions (possibly on the Amiga) had one of the producers as a player in the game. I think his name was Mark Collis and he played for Cambridge. He was absolutely brilliant.
I'm old enough the remember the CM Italia version too.

Ah yes, Mark Collis (AM/F C), can't believe the devs were allowed to take such liberties
If you remember right Cambridge also had a right back called Ferrah Orosco too, who was also a fake player but not listed in the credits so god only knows who he was! I remember you had to wait til they signed someone before you could move for either player too, could be a tense pre season waiting for one of those to come available!
Currently 4th at Christmas and managed to sell zouma to Newcastle for 40m. Trying to flog soucek but he's annoyingly good in the game. Signed Marcos Leonardo, Alex Scott (not that twit), Jose Marsa and Ronnie Edwards from Peterborough. Scamacca is absolutely superb
