To be fair - it's probably finally going to cost them the vote of the racists.
Why are so many people in this country so fvcking stupid.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
One of the office cleaners told me this morning she had been getting a certain taxi company into work for the past three years and this morning the driver said to her, looks like Sunak is the new PM then. She said yeah I saw that. He said, "that's all we need a fuсking Рaki in charge". She said, "that's racist". He said, "yeah, that's because I am racist". She made him stop the car and get another taxi out to her.
This is the type of person we give a vote to.

All the racist Brexiters that voted for it to get rid of ‘brown people’ must be apoplectic, especially because they’re responsible for the turn of events that have led to this.
We might have the lowest voter turn out at the GE now given the amount of gammon that can’t find it in their heart to tick the box of an Asian man.

Two positives:
1. The first British Asian prime minister ever… a real forward step and a big day for many communities around the country.
2. Someone economically competent in charge at a time of great economic uncertainty.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’ll be good for the economy and the markets, it’ll be good for our children in 15 years who won’t be left with the bill from an energy crisis and pandemic.
It’ll be a shat few years for all of us though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What? Their plan is still to subsidise the energy companies with public money, isn’t it? (So that those same companies can maintain their all-time record profits, dividend payouts and share buy-backs.)
Or is Sunak planning on implementing wholesale price caps or windfall taxing profits?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Only until April.
Gas pricing have dropped considerably (to the point it’s similar to a year ago).
Let’s see if consumer prices drop accordingly…. My guess is no.
Anyway, my point is that Sunak was clear when running, he will be issuing unfunded bills to help on the short term. Nor should he.
A windfall tax would be nice but I don’t see it.

The ratio of working class to middle class has changed significantly in the past 30 years. The majority of the country and now middle class.
It’s actually these people being squeezed the most now. £30k was a decent salary 10 years ago, now you need to be earning £45k and above to have any kind of financial freedom.

Isn't this the biggest majority government voted in? If they didn't want it, they shouldn't have given them such a majority.
It’s not that simple, though. Especially with the first past the post system. And even a lot of the Tories that voted didn’t want this government we’ve ended up with (not that Johnson was a suitable choice). It’s why there should be a general election. Sunak has no mandate, the Tories were voted in on a manifesto that has been tossed around like a frisbee.

Let’s be honest, the alternative was Corbyn and Abbott. I have no confidence in saying they’d have handled Covid, and the war in Ukraine better.
I liked Corbyn, didn’t agree with all of his policies but seemed genuine enough. Abbott was laughable, just like Truss.
The key here is there was a pandemic and there is an ongoing war involving a heavily sanction Russia. Times were going to be tough, we’ve been lucky as a nation to have benefitted from furlough but that and an energy crisis were always going to cost our living standards.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
All the racist Brexiters that voted for it to get rid of ‘brown people’ must be apoplectic, especially because they’re responsible for the turn of events that have led to this.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is literally my favourite thing about this whole mess.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don’t forget an increase in people of colour via immigration due to freedom of movement stopping European citizens coming here.
But they know what they voted for.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The unfortunate thing is they will never really feel that remorse, as the people who bought into that are invariably too thick to understand the cascade of events which led to Rishi becoming PM.
Still funny nonetheless.

I’m sick of reading how racist this country supposedly is.
We are one of the most accepting and multicultural nations on the entire planet.
Don’t like it? Then go an emigrate to one of your beloved Nordic countries. You know the ones that are almost homogenous.

I don’t think they do deserve it. Millions of people around the country didn’t vote for this and have had their lives facked by this callous cuuuunts.

The working class Tory, who considers themselves above the working class.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The ratio of working class to middle class has changed significantly in the past 30 years. The majority of the country and now middle class.
It’s actually these people being squeezed the most now. £30k was a decent salary 10 years ago, now you need to be earning £45k and above to have any kind of financial freedom.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course consumer prices won’t return, because the regulator has no teeth and this govt, unlike others across Europe it should be noted, isn’t otherwise interested in tackling the facking rampant price gouging that’s going on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We can agree there
