Wolves started the Leicester game like a house on fire and if they had got the first goal in that game maybe things would have been different. They need to start with the same fire in their bellies at Brentford and try to get their noses in front
If Brentford get ahead it would be a brave man who’d put a penny on Wolves getting anything from the game
Just heard managed to get a ticket, will have a great time regardless of result as will be meeting friends in some cracking pubs, hope no drone delay this time, have good feeling about this game
Lets hope it is a great day out in every way Hctl
Referee Bobby Madley was sacked by the Premier League after an online video showed him mocking a disabled person. He has been reinstated to the list and referees his first Premier League match for 4 years on Saturday - at Brentford
Jimenez is returning from Mexico to continue with his rehab after his groin strain injury.
The contract of Daniel Podence runs out in the summer of 2024 and there is speculation he may move on by then. Thelwell knows all about the Wolves player’s contract situations so no surprise his club Everton are being linked with him
My line up wold be:-
Sa
Kilman, Collins, Bueno
Semedo, Nunes, Neves, Ait-Nouri
Podence
Costa, Guedes
It's worth a try as nothing else seems to be working. With Neves in front of the back 3.
Might work, Bueno has played under Davis at a junior level so may well play again, would like to see Nunes in more attacking role, and we need to get balls through the middle not just go up and down the sides with no end product
"As it stands at the moment - and listen, the goal posts do move - we're the 21st best team in England and Wolves are the 19th.
"So it's not such a massive jump. I do get the league and everything that comes with it but it's important you're at the right club with the right project, and I feel here I can speak with the owners very openly every single day."
Some of Beale's words today. Sounds like a bit of a dig at our structure
Bueno out of position as a centre back in his 4th ever Premier League appearance?
Wolfie continues to have no understanding of the difference between a centre back on the side of a 3 and a full/wing back
We now have a slightly awkward situation with our defenders. A 3 at the back may well suit our full/wing backs best. And when Coady was here that set up worked well. But now he’s gone I’m not sure we have the three centre backs to make that set up work

What he says is true for today. QPR may go backwards and tumble down their league and we could recover and go up our league.
Yes he thinks everything is rosy, but if things start to go wrong for him then I’m sure their attitude would change.
He may live to regret it.

Your at it again wolfie, Bueno is not a centre back. Then again neither is Jonny but he ended up paying there.
Also quite a few Portuguese in that side.

If he doesn't think he can improve our position from 19th with this squad, then it's probably a good job we didn't hire him anyway.
In an interview in the telegraph Beale has said that his ambition is to manage a team in the Champions League and ideally he would like that to be a European club not a British one
Video doing the rounds online of Adama Traore meeting some lads on a car park who challenged him to a sprint race across the car park. Adama accepted - and thrashed them
Some on here don't seem to remember a certain novice called Toti coming into the side at the beginning of last season and playing on the left side of a back 3. Bueno would do a good job in the absence of a genuine left sided defender.
A defender is a defender and should be able to adjust and play in any position, whatever system we play.
As for my team selection Goldi, you play with what you've got. That doesn't mean I agree with having so many players from Portugal.
I think some on here are getting too technical about a simple game of football.
For those who disagree with my selection, perhaps they could enlighten us all with what they would go with.
I shall not hold my breath, as they are the same dear souls who only try a find fault in whatever I post.
How nice it is to be different.

Toti Gomes is a centre back.
I would go with
Semedo Collins Kilman RAN
Nunes Neves
Adama Guedes Podence
Costa
Although only including Ait-Nouri as Jonny is so poor at the moment.
I'd go with the same as Gem.
However, I may be tempted to drop Podence and play both RAN and Bueno on the left. Not sure which way round though, as both could probably do a decent job further forward.

Wouldn't be against this honestly. Bueno has done well enough so as not to be dropped as yet and wouldn't mind seeing Ait-Nouri more advanced out of curiosity, i mean, he can't be any worse in the final third and with the added bonus of understanding covering Bueno.
