You only got to the CL final because of dodgy VAR decisions.
So what?
The match was in our hands to win. We had loads of opportunities to score. Dier, Doherty, Son.....all had good chances. We should have had the game done & dusted well before we scored.
Who managed to score....Betancur!!
The ref wasn't playing for them....and the offside decision was in fact correct.
I’m no spurs fans but he robbed them last night and the way he smirked into the faces at the end just proves that he knew how he wanted the game to finish.
Will any action be taken, more chance of a VAR decision being correct.
Pure and simple, it’s spoiled the game at the higher level, at least in the lower leagues we get to celebrate or be gutted in the same head space in real time.

Are we really still banging on about this? There’s no focus on the fact that we’re passive and only active when we go behind. That’s why we didn’t win. Stop blaming officials and start going for the people in charge.

Not by how you interpret the laws it wasn`t. He was played on by a defender.
Of course I'm biased but the game on Weds was an example of the wonderful drama and emotion that football can provide.
We were diabolical in the first half and deserved to be behind but fought hard and found a late equaliser then after a series of missed chances (at both ends) we scored the winner with the last kick of the game and nearly 60k supporters and the whole Spurs team and staff went bananas. Wonderful scenes and just what the club needed.
Now rules are rules but if you're gonna stick a pin in that balloon you better be damn sure you've got it right. It took 4 mins which in itself tells me they were struggling and then they came up with some very iffy looking lines. Sporting must think all their birthdays and xmas have come at once because I don't think they would have had any problem with the validity of the goal had it stood.
My diagnosis, cheating bstards and we must use the injustice to fire ourselves up for the remaining games before the World Cup break.

Agreed. 4 mins is a joke. Still it's not clear cut. If it's that tight they've got to go with the original decision at least. Better yet, give it to the attacking team. Let's hope it doesn't leave much of a mark come Tuesday night. Conte's tone after the match would make anyone believe we're already out of it.

Tbf I have a real sense of injustice. I really do not like VAR and even though offside is a black and white thing, the way the assessment is done giving decisions of the finest margins is flawed when some of the inputs are vague inaccurate and at times guess work.
The fundamental flaw for me is that if a players foot is on the floor, you can pinpoint its position. The moment it is off the floor (same also for the ball), it becomes a three dimensional calculation and this cannot be done 100% accurately. The only way it can is by knowing how far off the floor the ball or player is and this system does not allow for that. So it is guesswork when it comes to the position of the ball in the air relative to where it would be on the pitch if it were on the ground.
That's why the kane decision is a mess because you are not usually doing VAR measured from the ball and even rarer that it's in the air.
BUT they should know and accept this as a major flaw and not apply it in such tight situations but they don't, they crack on apply decisions based on an inherently inaccurate means of assessment

Get over it ?? you actually a Spurs fan ??
Anyone who seriously thinks we should all just go away and "get over it" when a complete farce of a decision is made, potentially costing us our CL place, that, at the absolute minimum was a tow nail decision that took more time to decide than boiling 4 separate eggs, and on a header that everyone could see was headed backwards, and clearly played on by the defender who WAS playing the ball ( he was trying to clear it ffs ) then, yeah, we will keep going on about it.
I suppose you would expect the likes of Liverpool fans to just walk away and except a decision like that in such an important game ?? yeah, like hell they would. We would all still be hearing the moaning 2/3 years later.
For me, it was that bad, this, or something similar, will eventually ( and hopefully ) be directly responsible for the scrapping of VAR. It sucks the life out of football, and we all know it.
