You are correct though - managers are rarely sacked. They just get their contracts paid up or come to some agreement on a pay off - some even just get paid to go on garden leave.
That’s why Bielsa was so refreshing! He didn’t do long contracts.
The club have a massive dilemma as I see it. Can they afford to pay Marsch off and the amount they will need to dole out on JKA.
I am in no doubt we are heading out of this division, what the finances of the club will look like is anyone's guess.
Agree Els. And I think fans who think we'll just bounce straight back up may well be in for a rude awakening.
I agree Batty, if we go down I think it will take several years to sort it out. The question is, how would the 49ers respond to relegation? Do they complete a full takeover or do they get rid of their stake, if they can?
Am I wrong, but I always assumed contracts were made with a set severance feebbuiltbin
And I think fans who think we'll just bounce straight back up may well be in for a rude awakening.

fulham
norwich
bournemouth
have constantly bounced back with alot less finance
Go down, we come back first time

Nope, not a hope (and I think you know it too, deep down). Leeds don’t do things like that (bounce back immediately) - we need to find a way of staying in the Prem this season.
Past performance isnt an indicator of future performance.
Should absolutely walk it, and be disappointed if we didnt win the league
I salute your indefatigability

I wouldn't be so bullish.
It would be an opportunity to bring the likes of Gyabi, Perkins and Gnonto through without the pressure of the premier league.
I think this team would struggle to get out of the Championship…playoffs at best!

You obviously haven't been paying much attention
the last two seasons. We will struggle if we drop.
And I think we will drop based on past performance
of the last two seasons.
Been to every home game and watched every away game.
Prem is light years above champ, we’d lose some players, but should absolutely be able to buy our way out of it first time.
Have a feeling we'll be revisiting this thread next season.

So every indication is that the birds are going to come home to roost in the JKA case with the CAS about to rubber stamp FIFA's decision. If this is the case, the club will have to pay £18m, presumably plus costs.
Where is all the money going to come from to rebuild next season?
Sign Taylor, Brownhill and Piroe and we'd break the championship.
Orta strikes again - he’s an effin disgrace
I wouldn't be so confident. Its not quite as easy as that

Too true. I am sure similar things were said back in 2004, we are a massive club, we will be too good for the Championship etc. We should know that from previous occasions we do not come straight back up when we drop down.

We go down.
We sell:
Sinisterra
Meslier
Aaronson
Bamford
Struik
Harrison
Are left with dregs and youngsters.
Radz sees his prize club devalued.
Parachute payments come in, pay for inflated wages, losses etc. He spends very little on replacement players as he's now got less income.
Nightmare scenario we're heading directly towards.
I appreciate that this is all negative, but I don't see our team scrapping well in the lower league - it would be years before we got back if at all.

I really don't see any other scenerio.
Don't think we'll luck into another bielsa.
People have to realize our owners are worse than the owners of the clubs that bounce back. We have to remain in the pl and slowly build our team. It's our only chance as we wait for owners worthy of a one team city with the stature of Leeds.

Typically these clubs don’t massively change when they come up, so that are better equipped for relegation…we would have to have a clear out.
