It took The Glazers 12 years to get our fanbases standards on the floor, your hedgefund owners have managed it with you lot in 4 months.

😂
But have to agree, he needs time, he needs to mould the team accordingly, what I feel is frustrating most people on here is the continuity of poor subs and team selections.
Agreed Randrew.
Patience for sure. But criticism leveled his way hasnt been completely uncalled for. His start team choices and tactics havent been bullet proof. Still, we preach how players should be given time to settle so the same should be given to managers.
In spite of the result i dont see today as being only negative. We had great chances and showed some fight which has been sorely missing in the last year.
The one thing missing for me is individual bravery. Too many times we opt to play it safe and ignore the opportunities presented. That or we miss them which is more worrying.
I think the future is bright. We have young players who are good and have lots of promise still. Not all doom and gloom from me.
You need patience with the manager more than anything.
City signed 4 players in the Summer - 2 on the pitch, 2 on the bench last night and they've all fitted in seamlessly because of the stable management we have at the moment.
It was a big leap for Potter but I think he'll come good.

This is it. It’s easier for City to integrate new players now because they’re coming into a stable, established set up.
We’re now back to square one in terms of trying to get every player on the same page so it’s gonna take a while.
I have a lot of faith in Potter tbh. A club like Chelsea obviously has different challenges than a club like Brighton but if you look at what he did with their resources it’s quite exciting to imagine what he can do with the resources available to him here.
It’s just mad to me how everyone loved Potter and he was the number one choice of like 95% of football fans in the case of their manager leaving, yet two months into him being at Chelsea you’ve got loads of our fans already treating him like some incompetent moron.
Many of them are the same people who would b’tch about the people in charge of the club having no patience
I just get this feeling that this is the wrong appointment for Potter. Not sure about the new owners but they were quick to pull the trigger with Tuchel. Hope I'm wrong as I like Potter and have no beef with Chelsea

Hardly a surprise, Chelsea fans haven’t needed to have patience because of the way the club has been run for 20 years.
Creating an outstanding pottery item requires so many steps before the fine finished article is completed.
Source and prepare clay
Shape form on the wheel
Piece needs time to dry
Glazing and firing in Kiln
Some sanding to complete.
The arch Potter needs patience and many attempts at different variables to get it right.
We have the right man for the job...give him the time , ie remains of this season and the next, at very least, to complete a team to be feared.
Unfortunately the fans particularly the younger ones, demand success on a plate now.
Patience please!
He’s an excellent manager, who will get Chelsea playing good football which will eventually translate to results.
He will need time to do it though. His ideas are quite different to Tuchel’s, and as the OP has hinted at, he’ll want to a) assess the squad properly, b) work out which players he can reshape to meet his requirements, c) replace those he can’t, and d) whilst all that is going on, get the whole unit on the same page, clicking and fine tuned.
He’s probably somewhere at the back end of a) and start of b) at the moment. Next season is the time to start judging his work.
Chelsea aren't famous for giving managers a lot of time. If he doesn't get top 4 he's probably gone.

While the sacking of Tuchel was absurd and way too soon it is a new regime so it’s premature to already put them in the same bracket as Abramovich in terms of patience.
They have their choice in place now so this is where they will prove that they mean what they’ve been saying about long term visions etc
The bigger issue will be the fans and the players. The owners can have all the will and patience in the world but once that starts to turn they are usually left little choice.

Correct
Saying 'We're in transition' has kept United fans quiet for the last decade.
Give that a go.

Yet people like you always deny it's possible when I say the fans could easily get The Glazers out.
