Is the grey colour scheme a nod to the ecomic self-harm caused by Brexit?

I was aware of that, but I have a reputation to keep up.

Loving it. Grey is the new grey.

Warne's pre-match interview worth watching. He's an interesting guy, very honest and not afraid to show vulnerability. I like it but I can see why it might not be every fan's idea of what they want from their manager. He was asked something along the lines of how much he appreciated the fans supporting him, and he responded by saying we aren't there for him as if he was Elton John! He's got a nice bit of self-deprecation about him which is very unusual in an ego-driven business.

We have more than six and a half thousand of us there tomorrow. At Milton Keynes in the third division. We've got some ground to make up on those ahead of us but if we get on a roll we will be unstoppable.

666 comes to mind for some reason.........

Sorry. I regret and withdraw that. Such derogatory comments have no place on a modern, welcoming, vibrant and diverse thread. Am ashamed. 🥺

Well, after a 5 day drive back from southern Spain Mrs H and I will be sat in front of my renowned 65 inch for today's game, which will surely be like a home game - backed by some 6500 Rams fans.
A feast of footballing entertainment will surely ensue..... 3 points please Paul. Cheers. Terry. UTR

On an entirely different note, I see Fin Bowen an 18 year old goalkeeper in Derby suddenly died on Tuesday. According to the ONS deaths are 16% above average. Makes you wonder why, and equally why nobody is investigating why....

Any death like this would of course be investigated so it isn’t true to say that this isn’t happening. There will be a post-mortem examination to try to establish the cause of death. I don’t know what it was in this case but commonly in young people it is a congenital cardiac abnormality. Often there are no warning signs or symptoms. Some of these abnormalities can be detected on echocardiography and there is a national screening programme in the UK for young adults. It is not centrally funded though and relies on charitable donations. Sessions are always fully booked - I have not been able to get my own two lads a place for example.

A more comprehensive screening programme funded by the NHS would pick up more of these but that isn’t going to happen any time soon with the current state of affairs with our health service. Obviously there are other causes of sudden death - brain haemorrhage, suicide, accidental drug overdoses etc - but the “out of a clear blue sky” deaths are usually a fatal cardiac arrhythmia from an underlying cardiac defect.

They are being investigated, also there is a 20% increase in deaths of women during and after child birth.

There was an expectation that deaths would increase after the lockdowns due to people not receiving diagnoses and treatment, and not catching seasonal colds/flu, but that didn't happen. May be that is happening now and the effect is later than expected..

Maybe we can persuade the recipients of the money spent on a non-functional Track and Trace system to pay it back?

Then increase in maternal deaths is mainly due to suicide and is linked to social deprivation. It's one more indicator of how things have deteriorated in the country in so many areas.

Anyone know why Johnson isn’t being pilloried for giving speeches in the US at £130,000 a time whilst parliament is sitting?
