Hang on. So the only reason you would prefer Arsenal over City and Pool is because we're far away? What happened to the deep hatred for pool and the local rivalry for city? As an Arsenal fan, if utd were in a title race with spurs no way would I say I hope utd win ONLY because their fans are far away. I would want utd to win because spurs are our local rivals and I hate them more than utd.

Fair. I'd be very happy if you guys won the league. As if we can't (we can't) Arsenal is vastly preferable to City or Liverpool. The fact you are also playing great football right now does help too
I just want Arsenal to win the league as I don’t want City to match our threepeat

Normally collapse after Xmas. You have time. But to be fair.have been pretty good, apart from against us. Who knows?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
what are you on about? this isn't 2008, we normally collapse before xmas
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not true. Your collapse always come April
Hope not.
I start out each season HOPING for a United title. But if that is not forthcoming, then my only other proviso is that it is anybody else other than the league's second most successful team from Lancashire (LFC) or the Holloway diving club (AFC).
Whatever my hopes are, they are always balanced out against just what the various squad situations are before the season starts. There are, at least, 3 better squads in the current league than either of those.
It doesn't always work out that way, of course, but the answer to the question in the original post is probably not
If only we’d done the same with Ole, would have instilled his clear philosophy and got players such as Maguire, Ronaldo, AWB, Pellistri and VdB all firing.
I think people underestimate how good Arteta is as a manager though, it's feels like everyone is saying, 'see, stick with a manager and he'll come good' but that's not fully true. You have to stick with the RIGHT guy.
But Arteta was never a club legend.

Thats the point, It's not about being a football club legend, it's about who has the skills to be a manager, Arteta was must have been showing these managerial skills for a while and Arsenal saw it and are helping him harness it.
Ole never got proper financial backing either. He was also only able to buy 4 RWers during his time.
I work with 2 Utd fans, both season ticket holders and they both want City to win it rather than Arsenal.
Thier logic? Utd have won it more recently than Arsenal so in thier heads they still have 'bragging rights' The threepeat and City being local rivals is meaningless to them,
I think they've just got used to wanting City to win it after years of 'rather City than Liverpool'

People are strange.
If you think those two United fans are odd, just remember that some people are actually City fans

Arsenal always seem to be playing teams at the foot of the table.

I kind of get this.
To be honest when City win it it's just a shrug of the shoulders and "Well, that's what we expect". When LFC won it it hurt more because there's no reason at all we can't compete with them. We should also be competing with City of course.
Ive got no beef with Arsenal fans. Why would I? I dont even know one (who goes anyway). However I do with the many City and Liverpool supporters I know. And those I don't know. They can fack right off.

We haven't had anything to collapse from for a long time. Not even last season was a collapse, we were shaky all season apart from a brief spell.
It's a bit like saying United are always there or thereabouts at the end of the season.
we are never anywhere near the top of the table by december
