Had to look up De Vrij and I see that he's almost 31 years old. We were selling Verts and Toby at near this age. Obviously if he's good enough then it shouldn't matter but would be nice to go younger.

Villa were rivalling us for Bentancur last January and then missed out - the only pill you currently have is money and I reckon we can more or less match that

Torres is physically weak, he would be bullied mercilessly in this league.

Adam Webster at Brighton would be a solid option, at 27 he is more or less in his prime. Get Bastoni, Skriniar and one of Dumfries/Hakimi and we would challenge for the title

These are summer not January targets. Can't see either coming in January. Right now we need upgrades not No.1 choices.

As long as I don’t have to see Laurel and Hardy in defence anymore, I’m happy to accept a load of new CB’s

Depends who we are including. If it's Emerson, Dier and Davies who are the regulars then it's The Three Stooges, and if you're throwing Sanchez and Doherty in as well it's The Marx Brothers.

I don't think anyone would feel bad if we sold all 5 and started afresh.

Haha…. They are more like Keystone Kops, Laurel & Hardy & Abbot & Costello rolled in one…

Royal, Dier & Sanchez especially.

Where do you get your stats. De Vrij is top 75 percentile for aerials won. Dier is 45 percentile. Ben Davies is 57 percentile.

Go to fbref to get educated on their abilities.

Pau Torres is weakest in the air but he's the ball playing LCB that Conte's system craves.

We won’t go for Torres, he’s a player we could have got in the summer but chose not to
