I really don’t know, but we should try to find a good keeper.

Surely you should have names of all these keepers that are worthy of replacing DDG
hold on... let me get this right... Willian is given an age to with the ball and play it to the Fulham LB... he puts the ball across the 6 yard line with no utd defender able to get near it... shaw lets james go... james hits it from 6 yards out and your complaining De Gea didnt use his hands... good fecking grief.

And surely you think he is the world’s best, since you imply that there’s no one to replace him. He can’t even make the bench for Spain.

You should watch a replay of that goal. That being said, keepers make mistakes. My point is that we should start looking for a replacement. DDG may be part of the transition, but not of the future.

Its you who cant name any candidates yet insist we need a new GK.
I do think De Gea can certainly be braver at times but, to be fair, you can't blame him for that goal yesterday. I'd rather highlight the little things he's done to improve his games (although not sure why it's taken this long!) like sweeping and using the whole box to claim the ball with his hands. A few times yesterday he came to the extremities of the area where, last season, he'd have stayed rooted to his line and placed his CB in unnecessary peril. Credit where it's due.

Who, the OP or RDD/Butcher?
The only blame for that goal yesterday goes to ETH. Malacia was getting murdered on the right hand side time and again yet ETH made no changes till late after. Was it so difficult to put Lindelof at RB and have Maguire at CB with Martinez.
If not for Garncho's goal we would have spoken about it more.

Fulham’s players were too quick. To put both Lindelof and Maguire there would have been disastrous.

I thought this at half time, but in fairness Malacia was fine in the second half and Lindelof was excellent at CB.
The goal comes from a sloppy bit of play from Bruno, but I think anyone trying to blame Lindelof, Martinez, Shaw or De Gea are being incredibly harsh. People seem to expect players to react to things as if they are playing in a slow motion replay.
ETH in.
Champions of mediocrity. Out
He does that for nearly every shot though. He makes himself as small as possilble.
That is why De Gea is the worst premierleague goalkeeper in away games in 2022. He has conceded over 11 goals more than expected in side with one of the best defences away from home in the league on 2022.
De Gea will probably survive as he has done before on the basis of more urgent needs eslewhere in the squad.
But equally he does look to be improving weaker aspects of his game, which does rather make me wonder what the hell we've been doing with these players the last few years.

A very good point. Well, Josée was busy criticizing his players publicly, and Ole doing the opposite: praising them and asking them to go and enjoy themselves on the pitch. Not a single player improved under these two mangers.
Apparently we are interested Diogo Costa from Porto.
Wolves could go down. I wonder if Jose Sa would be an option?

I actually quite like Sa. But Costa is apparently much better, and will end up being Portugal’s number one. Could sort the position for years given his age as well.
