One of my favourite players….broke into the team at 17 I think and was unplayable on his day , just lacked the consistency to be a real star but will always be classed as a very good premier League player
Always seemed like a good professional too….no moaning or mister meaners of note
Hope he enjoys his retirement
Every time he got the ball and ran at the opposition FB the whole stadium would get on their feet, you just knew he had the beating of everyone 1v1

Weird how time goes on the days of Robbo pumping it long to berbatov to control or shifting it to the right for Lennon to run at defenders.
Always loved him roasting evra.
Loved watching him play. That season when we had Bale flying down one wing and Lennon the other was electric, under Redknapp.
Always a player i felt i would not want playing against us as he was a constant threat even if his end prdoect was unpredictable.
Great loyal servant and slightly amazed he's only just retired. How old is he?
I'm not sure he's close to a legend. A solid player on his day but very one dimensional. Seemed like a nice guy and on his day was very good but nowhere near legend status.

Anyway Lennon was my favourite player even throughout the Modric/Bale era.
I always thought he was vastly underrated and had his crossing landed at the feet of someone like Kane (as opposed to useless facks like Soldado or Crouch or Adebayor) we'd be talking about how many assists he had.
I actually think he'd make a pretty successful wingback as he was so consistently great at helping out our fullback as well. (he'd definitely do better than Royal)

One of my favourite spurs players ever too. Around 08-12 he was almost world class too. And if you think he broke into the first team at 17/18, he was an absolutely amazing talent. I think he was extremely underrated. Don’t forget that assist for Teemu’s goal in the 4-3 v west ham π

He was a good servant for Spurs but never quite reached the heights, he never really scored or assisted enough to be top class and had the shooting ability of a 12 year old. I wish him all the best in his retirement.

One of my favourite players - had his name on the back of an England shirt (2006?).
Always remember when he played against Blackburn and had their full back sent off for two yellow cards in the first half - he just took the lad on time and time again. Terrorised him. At least I think it was Blackburn…. I’m getting old
