Southgate may well still have picked Wilson over him anyway. But there’s no doubt Toney wasn’t going to get in the squad because of this investigation.

I don’t know why people were shocked about his exclusion when the news of this investigation came out weeks ago.

Nothing to wonder. Of course that is what happened. Whether he'd have made it without it going on is probably 50/50. With this ongoing, it gave him zero chance.

He’s hardly a threat is he.

Kane is a lot like Spurs this season - not playing well but the stats are good, only Haaland scoring more, Spurs 4th with a defence worse than Everton’s

That’s Conte playing him a ridiculous amount of times in 2022. Didn’t see the Leeds game, but they have one of the worst defences to every play in the prem so that’s not something I’m going to take too much from when he’s looked leggy and average in most other games this season.

I was hoping the world cup being in the middle of the season might see our players fitter and sharper than usual but does look lik
