What does a rainbow armband do anyway ffs. I just want to watch the game, I don’t need all this virtue signalling bollox with my football, same as I don’t with any other brand waving it in my face, when really all they are interested in is making money. The premier league is full of clubs with dodgy owners and dodgy money, players wouldn’t turn it down though. How dare the west preach about how human rights to the likes of Qatar, we conolonised most of these countries! Just get on with enjoying the World Cup, or not.

Well said.

Thing is coming from a Muslim background, sometimes it’s portrayed as difference in culture / religion when actually the truth is they are all corrupt kaaants. Saudis taking arms from uk/Us and killing thousands in Syria. UAE same as with many so called Muslim countries. They are all in bed with each other for money / profit and feeding their own lifestyles. The US literally created al-qaida and were in bed with osama since the 80s then spat him out. Many other countless examples.

Stick to the football ffs and leave the virtual signialling ffs. It smacks of hypocrisy and isn’t going to change anything.

I have always been against willful provocation or any kind which is carried out with the sole intention to generate a reaction, especially knowing that it can then be punished.

An utter stupid gesture in the first place. The U.K. is far from being a perfect country itself, and attempts to prosecute thousands of individuals who have done nothing wrong every year. What I do know is that any attempted provocation (even by authorities such as the police) with the intention of to provoking a response is frowned upon culturally, and cracked down on stronglyQatar has to take its own decisions regarding its own laws. Whether we agree with them or not is sadly not out business. If they were truly serious, well why didn’t these countries simply join together and boycott the event altogether? We all know the real reason for that one 💵 💰

Best to just get on with the football. Most
People who will ever be actively influenced will have already made their own minds up on the matter anyway.

The rainbow armband achieved nothing until FIFA threatened sanctions for wearing it.

Now, the armband has shown us the true colours of those running the game - more concerned with those who have the most money rather than those minority groups genuinely affected by prejudice.

Stick to the football?

Fack off.

Should I do what?

Just get on with the football! That’s what it’s about, not largely ineffective gestures like armbands, wristbands and taking a stupid knee. Has taking a knee stopped the racism etc? Sick of seeing that for the past 2 years.

Play the football, win the games, win the tournament then give a particular hand gesture to FIFA, Infantino and anyone else

Well said, get on with the sport
