Seems a bit drastic to me. Footballers nowadays are pretty much a brand on to themselves. And for a player to pretty much white wash the club they play for from their SM - for me - means something is up.

Ronaldo’s recent interview was drastic. This seems petulant at best, more likely just someone having an online doing clean IMO

Someone definitely lied to him. And this is one of my few criticisms of Conte. He takes this stuff too personally. He knows Djed Spence is better attacking wise than Emerson and arguably Doherty but he doesn't want the optics to show him wrong.

Spence is also a better wingback than Sessegnon but Sessegnon gets more chances on a flank that has Perisic as first choice.

Treated Bergwijn the same. Very few will argue that Lucas or Gil is a better asset than Bergwijn but Conte gave Bergwijn a disrespectful amount of minutes.

Can I just add people black out their social media profiles when they are taking a break from that platform.

Conte`s stubbornness is his biggest failing, the refusal to use Spence (because he is a player he did not request) being a prime example. The lad has had a criminal lack of minutes to try and impress on the pitch, all while sitting on the bench watching ordinary players stink the place out. Likewise can be said of a player like Gil, who has also looked bright in the few glimpses we have had of him, this kind of pig headedness will work at clubs like Chelsea and Juventus, but it probably won`t work at Spurs.

Conte has been making positive remarks about Spence, I’m fairly confident we will see a fair bit of him when the season starts again
