Best new female artist for years IMO

RRP :

All superb female artists.
Cocteau Twins might be a bit leftfield for you, but if Liz Fraser can seduce the electro monster that is the RDBD ...

Peterbaey .

Hated him when I was a kid in the 70s (all the teen girls in the estate adored him) . And as an aside ...

Got the story from one of my folks in the 1960s (waaay BEFORE his eventual fate) , that when he worked as "clap boy" on Ready Steady Go in the 1960s - even then he was chasing the underage girls who managed to get on the show.

Bales :

Trying to exploit potential 4AD weakness (very <RDBD> ) .

Yes, have heard their stuff (Tom Ravenscroft plays them) . Bizness I find a bit tedious.

On a 4AD note, love the lady who did (does) vocals for Gus Gus (though the "Attention" LP is probably a bit too No Wave for RRP) .

Uncle is going to have the RDBD shedding nostalgic tears of how he could be up late on friday night in the 70s, as dad came back from the pub with his mate, and watched those artists on the OGWT ...

G&S,

Never got to see the Bad tour but they did show it on tv once, which i videod.

And i could not put a figure on the amount of times i played & rewinded the moon walk he did on that tour. And needless to say, i did a very poor immitation of it, although it felt good at the time.

A bit like my crazy legs & windmill i suppose.

but his singing voice is strange.....i just can't make out if its strange in a good or bad way.....

if you've heard pro green's jungle single...
