Nunez roasted the city defense, too bad he didn't hit the target.

posted on 23/12/22

A defence that included 2 players out of position and an 18 year old.

Saying that, Nathan Ake had 3 efforts on target, 1 more than the entire Liverpool team.

like I said roasted your defense

By ‘roasted’, do you mean he gave them a night off?

Very impressed with Rico, thought they would target him but he more than held his own.

Cole who was roasting Milner before he went off, shame he got injured, would have been fun watching Milner get embarrassed.

A lot of talk about Liverpool youngsters last night but thought our two had the better game, both looked quality.

I see. Not sure that makes him an Arsenal fan though - he wanted Luis Enrique to take over.

The City youngsters looked like they belonged, poor Milner had a terrible time, I suspect the biggest injury was to his dignity.

The City defence was not great with Akanje having the worst game I have seen him have but Stones settled that down. With Nunez unable to hit a barn door, luckily Akanje could have a mare and it not affect the result.

Gundo had a great game too.

Thought Rodri was awesome. Probably the key inclusion that gave me confidence. Without Rodri I think we lose the game.

Thought Akanji was bad. Game was mainly a basketball game because of his poor distribution and unnecessary shielding of the ball. Wanted Stones to come on sooner.

Haaland looks a bit rusty. Hope Alvarez is available for the leeds game.

Good goal by Mahrez but his days as a starter are done.

Keen to see a front 3 of Foden, Haaland and Alvarez.

And Milner was having a great game before his injury. He seemed fine when he assisted Carvalho to pass it into the net.

And Carvalho opens his record against City. This will be a long record.

If by 'having a great game' you mean, being made to look stupid by a lad young enough to be his son, then I agree with you.

I believe that Milner qualifies as a pensioner in 2023.

You can't play Milner at right back at his age in a high line against pace. He was always going to pull a muscle. When he played right back at Anfield we sat deep which was easier.

Haaland will score 4 times as many against Pool as Carvalho will against City. Foolish argument to pick really.

Pool without Mane look a bit toothless, not sure if Salah is out of form or past his best but he looks a shadow of his former self. Top end of mid table for Pool this season but I assume they will have a decent run at the FA Cup as their only realistic chance of silverware.

What the fack is wrong with you boys? We beat you twice this season without Mane and should have scored 4-5 goals last night.

Very few teams that have 2 shots on target over 90 minutes manage to score 4-5 goals.

Hopefully we'll have Walker, Ederson and Dias back for the next time you play here.

You can bring whoever you want. If Nunez has his shooting boots on it will go like the Community Shield final.

We won't be treating the home game against you as a glorified friendly.

You'd better start paying the VAR man in advance.

Haaland will outscore Nunez by a minimum of 50% this season, probably much more. So the next game against Pool expect another Haaland hattrick while Nunez peppers the corner flag..
