Fair point both have brought a calmness and skill level we've not had for a while, Casimero has stood a good few games I've watched and that can be unusual for someone playing his position generally

No that is fair, I have been sitting pondering (better than working) and have found it tough to settle on a back 4 over all?
Might be I feel Cas and Varane have stood out as they have been able to look so much better than some others in the team and Martinez could be included in that, might need a run games to show it more clearly though
Martinez, Casemiro, Rashford, Dalot n Varane have all been very good for us this season. Martial has too tbf but he's just not played enough games sadly. His goal to mins ratio this season is second best in the league too I think behind Haaland.

On Silva, I would suggest a player can be good while his team have been "useless". Chelsea have one of the best defensive records in the league, so if they have been useless it suggests he is doing well.
Kulusevski missed a big chunk of the games, and has one goal. Not sure who he replaces.
Bentancur could have a shout.

Bentancur has been our best player this season alongside Kane. We’ve not been great but are 4th so there is some quality.

Thing is, I am sure there are good shouts at a number of clubs. Martinelli and Odegaard have been very good as alternatives to Kulu, Partey and Xhaka have been very good as alternatives to Bentancur.
Looked at some clubs as doing better than expected (Fulham, Brighton) and looked at who has been consistently good for them and took that into consideration as well.
No offence to Spurs, but I don't see them doing particularly great so far this season, and have got more points than they probably deserved.
Maddison has 7 goals and 4 assists. Leicester have been rubbish but he has been good and should be considered on his own form, not the team's.
And, tbf, it is a personal choice. People will have seen different games, have different perspectives, different bias.
The only players I would say are nailed on are Saliba, Almiron, Saka, Haaland and probably KdB (although I'm sure there can be arguments against him as well).
Robertson is a strange one too. A bit of recency bias there me thinks as he played well at the weekend. Liverpool haven't defended that well this season at all. Villa should have scored 1 or 2 more as well.

Arsenal have not had a consistent one, Cancelo has been bad quite a few games I have watched them, cannot even think who Newcastles is, Spurs have a wing back, United have swapped between Shaw and Malacia, Chelsea can't think who they have had, outside those?
