Terrible camera quality but after doing the research, seems like the goal was actually offside, terrible there was no camera angle though. The corner taker is offside.
https://behindthefootball.com/can-you-be-offside-from-a-backwards-pass/
This article explains that the direction of the pass is irrelevant. It also shows that the exact same situation has already happened with VAR disallowing the goal…to Wolves! Unlucky man.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Clearly on - look at TAA and then almost all the 3 or 4 players in the middle, as the ball that is surely counted as per the Salah goal is the second header?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep this is what I was making a balls up of saying. Has to be taken at the point of the second header. And he's onside at that stage
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why does he have to be taken at the second header?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry wasn't this the person talking about knowing rules a second earlier

Perhaps the lino has accidentally completely ignored TAA and just followed the line of other Liverpool defenders on the edge of the 6 yard box?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The mind boggles - and in normal FA fashion this will be brushed under the rug and the poor wolves management will get fined for some BS excuse

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because the first header was going absolutely nowhere near the corner taker, he made no attempt to receive the ball at that poiny, he didn't touch it, it wasn't played in his direction and he wasn't "active" in play at that time. Much like Salah wasn't flagged offside for the second Liverpool goal at any time. As when he was offside, he didn't collect the ball. Only after it was played by the Wolves defender

That's what I think happened tbh. Or he's just guessed
The rule is to give the benefit of the doubt to the attacking side so because the Wolves player was running backwards, it was deemed that he was defending, hence why Liverpool got the benefit of the doubt.
Tbh to me when i move it frame by frame, he looks slightly off at the point of the second header? Its very close either way. This is coming from a fan who wanted liverpool knocked out btw!

Wolves player is pretty much in line with the 6 yard box line. That's what makes it clearer as Trent is a couple of yards further back towards the goal
