Emery is a quality manager. Not far off elite to be honest and has got to be one of the best in the league.

The way he's taken over Villa and got them looking so good, he's made Gerrard's management look like Basil Fawlty's.

Was funny seeing scousers cry about Gerrard not getting backed (depsite piiiissing loads of money up the wall). He had them in a relegation battle, Emery took over, signed Alex Moreno, and got them into Europe.

never claimed he did a good job but he was inexperienced at this level and wasnt exactly backed. he spent 90m, 50m net, emery spent more than half of tht on one player. Lambert spent an insane amount.

lol true. i still think theres hope for both Gerrard and Lampard tbf still very early in their careers. Im sure theres many managers who struggled at the start of their managerial careers and went on to forge a good career in football management

I love that interview he did with Neville where talks about Ferguson’s advice to choose your owners not your clubs. And then he went to Everton.

I'm not saying one is better than the other, just that Lampard's reputation is at the bottom and at least it doesn't appear to be dropping any further.

All about learning from their mistakes, might have to start off at lesser clubs than they were lucky to get to start with, but if they do a good job from there and work their way up who knows.
