Just another example of why the 'look what they do in rugby' brigade are wrong. Fine margins in football mattter more. It's a shame they have to do this but it's probably right

It tells me there’s sonething very, very wrong with the PL that promoted teams have to get 100m payments (and parachute payments for the relegated) just to have any chance of competing and staying afloat. That’s just very wrong, just shows how much money/greed has ruined the footy landscape.

The football I grew up watching has a degree of fiscal influence with a fair few teams North and South of the border but NOTHING like it is now, I get that money is simply part of the game now, bit ginna change if honest but it does slant the game and detract for clubs being able to grow like they could without it, FFP helped a wee bit but nit enough amd thats also open to being ignored in so many ways

I don't see why it matters. Isn't it the point that you play games at home because it's an advantage to the home team? That you use the familiarity of your stadium, the fans and even the ball boys to help you win? Bit silly.
