I used to do this in my squash tournaments. Deliberately play within myself the first couple of games and make them think I'm crap. Then they start playing a certain way due to my crapness, so switch it up and play the A game and they get shocked into losing when otherwise it could go either way. It's guaranteed. Bring on the big boys later on when the opposition are spent.

If you play defensively for most of the match then you aren't in the rhythm of attacking once it is level. Hence let the opposition go ahead and then attack all game. Equalise and then you are in the zone of attacking to get a winner
