I was absolutely flying too, was 13th in Canada after GW2. Knew it would crash and burn at some point but thought I might have another couple of weeks

I had him in my team and that hurt but then he doubles down by getting a yellow which keeps me in 3rd 🤕

Ah good call actually but Haaland might just have the edge but yes Lineker is defo similar

I think in times gone by there would be plenty of players like that surely? Back in the day CFs had one job, now they're expected to do so much more.

But the likes of Shearer, Cole, Fowler probably didn't get hugely more involved than Haaland? I was pretty young then so can't say for sure.

Also harsh to put wrighty in there but what's also mad is they, along with Fowler, were much better finishers than him

Yeh I think he plays better up there on his own, gets great service from the players behind, and around him but most of the 80s, 90s strikers had a partner for the most part, Wright worked hard asf as well, never took anything for granted

De Bruyne also a big influence

Haaland can be a Shearer/Lineker/Aguero all rolled into one without a partner but he has 9 incredible players behind him plus De Bruyne to release and capitalise on space

I don't even think Haaland is that great of an all round footballer but my god he's clinical. One of the best finishers we've seen and that ladies and gentlemen wins you the big prizes.
